to buy a double stroller or not?

I found a double a must. For my older DD, when the baby was in a stroller, she wanted to be too (even to this day and she is 6!)

We bought a peg pergo aira twin. It is a great stroller and worked well for us, especially for WDW. In just WDW trips alone it has more then paid for it's self.

Now when DD was a baby it was kind of a pain when at home since it does not hold the car seat. Once the baby was 6 months old it was fine.

Get a good double, one you really like. You will get your money out of it. I am not found of the front back and even more so the very popular graco dou glide. Just a personal thing with me. Too big and bulky.

I would absolutely recommend a double stroller for children that age. My two are 3 and 4 and still don't like walking in the mall.

The double that helped me the most in the early years was the Phil and Ted's e3: http://www.philandteds.com/nz/sportdouble_07_1.htm

It's great because it is a tandem with air tires that can be used a single or a double.

My second favorite is the Baby Jogger City Series Double. You won't find a double stroller with air tires that is easier to fold and will last you for years. It also has a high weight limit and a higher seatback than something like a Mac or Graco. (My children outgrew a Mac by the time they were 2 - 2 1/2; they fit in it but were not at the level of comfort I would like.) It is bigger than other strollers, but not wider than your average doorway and has plenty of options to make baby comfortable. You can see it here: http://www.babystrollershop.com/baby_jogger_city_series_double.htm
The newer ones are even nicer!: http://www.mystrollers.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=68090

There are less expensive options, but you can find those in most stores, I just wanted to give you a couple more options.

As for traveling to Disney - I would take either two single strollers or an e3 while the baby is young. Once they are older you have to look at the rentals (who knows if they'll be the same in a couple of years) and decide if they will work for you. I've never used a rented stroller but I always rent a car; you may want to rent a stroller if you don't wish to take strollers on and off a bus. I take two single Baby Jogger City Series strollers because they are super easy to fold. Just pull on a strap and it closes. The strap can be used as a carry handle and the stroller can be latched shut. It's not the slimmest or lightest thing around by far, but it has an excellent canopy, very easy push, swivel and fixed front tire, air tires, a pocket with a zipper and one without in the back, and it fits my 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 year olds great with room to spare.

I hope this helps!

I absolutely love this stroller. When I was at Disneyland in Sept. 2006, I saw a few of these. So as soon as I got home, I ordered one!!! (I had the baby trend Sit n stand and it was so hard to push around Disneyland.)

Getting this stroller was the best thing I ever did. It is so versatile and can be used in many ways. We are planning on having another baby next year, so I know I will get even more use out of it.

My boys are 2 and almost 5 and we use this stroller on a regular basis. It fits great in the back of my van and is so easy to fold.

I ordered the saddle bags for it, to use on our upcoming WDW trip! And I can't wait!!

This is what mine looks like with my boys in it!

A topic I can have some input ;)

I currently have a Ingelsina Twin Swift and love it. I have 2 boys a year and a day apart :) The middle handle bar is great for one hand steering. Long story, but I lost my first one at the post office, [if you must know, I *forgot* to load it after I loaded my kids in the van] and I missed it so much I got another. I never buy it from a store, I got both from eBay and never paid the $275 full price for it.

It folds very small and is pretty light [I can lift it one handed into my trunk] One con is that you have to fold it down to the ground first in order to fold it. So you have to bend over to pick it up.

Thanks for all the input!! I guess we'll pull the trigger and get the double. A friend of mine at work is done with hers, so we can get it a little cheaper. We will be staying at Boardwalk, so only have to deal with buses for MK and AK, so I guess we can get through it! Thanks for all the input!
