To Book Now or To Book Later

My family and I are planning a 2 week trip in January 2004. This will begin the second week of January. Should I make my reservations now or when the discounts come out. I know that they could just apply the rate to my room.

I will probably be staying at AKL or WL, so most likely out of those two they will have the cheapest deluxe rate. But, if another deluxe resort is cheaper I would probably like that one better because of the price.

Usually we would just pick the resort we want, but we found on our last trip that we really are not in our room as much as we use to. So we want a deluxe that is cheap. Sounds silly but I now someone can help me out.

I booked before the rates came out just to make sure that I had a room guarantee. When the codes came out for May I was on the phone immediately and got the discounted rate. There's no harm in booking this early unless you aren't ready to be out of the deposit.
