To book a Candlelight Processional Dinner Package or not?

The SB line for Neil Patrick Harris will begin at 11am when World Showcase opens. Even the dinner package line builds for him. Last year we got in the dinner package line about an hour before showtime and the line was already at the far side of the Japan pavilion.

If you are trying to go on one of his nights you really should get the package. The early show gets a lunch reservation so that will be less expensive.

Plans change so just keep checking for a package OP or else IMO plan on a long wait in the standby line. I just cancelled a CP package for the 2nd so things do change even if one isn't available now.

Anyone have an idea how popular Edward James Olmos usually is? What are the odds for getting a seat in standby line for his performance Tues, Dec 9th?

He's popular but it's possible to get in, especially if you're willing to do the late show. Last year I had a package and saw him for the 2nd show. There wasn't anything else I wished to do at Epcot so I got in the standby line for the 3rd show and also got in to see that one. I can't recall what day of the week it was however.

I was able to get a CP Pkg (Biergarten) for the 12/3 show with Jonathan Goff. It is our first time doing it as my daughter is now of the age (6) when she can sit down and enjoy (and therefore, US enjoying it).

I have heard that in the past, the package included reserved viewing for Illuminations. With the advent of Fastpass +, is that even still the case?

Unfortunately no, they removed that part from the package. I was disappointed to find that out after we'd booked, but we're still going anyway of course. It was just a nice plus. Maybe because they added FP+ for Illuminations? Dunno, but it's not included anyhow.

Hi all: I have a feeling I've been searching for CPP packages the wrong way...I go to cpp web page and the prompt requires me to first choose a specific restaurant, date and preferred time...then screen shows any openings (usually none.) Then I must go back and use a diff restaurant name to search again. Is there a way to just enter a preferred date and time and see all restaurant openings at once?

we are local AP holders and have seen many CP. We never have had the dinning package but always line up suuuuuper early.
We've done NPH, James Olmos, Jodi Benson, Lea Salonga.
We plan on getting there (American Adventure) as soon as World Showcase opens and depending if a line starts to form or not we just sit in the outside seating of the restaurant to keep an eye on the line. As soon as the first person gets in line we line up too.
For NPH we lined up at noon and got into his 5pm show. We are going this Sunday and will do the same strategy. We take turns going to the restroom, getting food. We bring books, crosswords puzzles, the DS2.

Search under regular dining at Epcot. It shows the package too.
