I am considering eating at the Biergarten during my Epcot visit. I am really waivering on this one, so I wanted some advice.

We enjoy Biergarten, Ive been twice! Plenty of wonderful cold salads and other meats besides sausage. Roast, chicken, awesome schnitzel! Potatos, veggies, mac and cheese, spaetzle, and desserts, fun show! I say try it! Yes you share a table with others but its no different than going to a Japaneese steak house! Besides you may meet some interesting ppl! We always did!

Thanks for this :-) We just added a 5th person to our reservation, so I have been having a really hard time changing ADRs from 4 people to 5. I really don't feel comfortable showing up with an extra person and throwing everything off for the restaurant, so I'm sad that I can't stay with a couple that I have and I wondered why Biergarten always seemed to have openings. I cancelled my reservation at Tutto Italia because there was nothing else, the restaurant was totally booked, and I was worried about getting completely turned away, so we booked at Biergarten - I don't know how much we will like the food, but the atmosphere seems pretty fun, so I am excited to try it out, and my DD (5) LOVES to dance, so I think she'll love this place!

Thanks a bunch for your input! It all sounds very good, and sharing a table with others doesn't bother me at all!

It really is a lot of fun. We met a lovely couple when we were there in February. The food is good and there aren't exactly a lot of German restaurants around! At least not in here in the northeast. The entertainment is nice, too. It is definitely a Disney experience.

at least 50 times and always go back. The food is pretty good, it's all you can eat and the beer is not bad either :)

Love this place!! It's actually my three kids favorite place to eat!

We love German food. That is where I ask to go for my Birthday every year. This is one place that we go every time. It is really nice youdo share tables but you do that in Japan or on a cruise.

Go every WDW trip.;)

DEFINITELY do it.

We went last year and it's the ONLY restaurant that I was dreading. I absolutely did NOT want to eat there, but I scheduled it because the inlaws were going with us and FIL likes German.

Oh my gosh! I couldn't have been more wrong in my expectation because it was fantastic! The food was outstanding (I imagined sauerkraut and brats and the SMELL that went with it...I was wrong). Truly, I think it was my favorite meal of the whole trip.

DEFINITELY - ABSOLUTELY - do it!

Biergarten is my family's one universal must-do restaurant in WDW. Everyone, from DS2 and DD5 to DW and I, absolutely love the food, entertainment, service and ambiance. The food itself is authentic and delicious, but what makes it even more food is the show and the service. Even being seated with other families is an enjoyable part of the experience.

Put another way, on our last trip we did CRT & Akershus, and while my princess-obsessed daughter loved both of them and pretty much every place we ate, the dinner that she really still talks about is dancing with the other kids at Biergarten!

While I don't know your family's personality, I say that you should definitely give Biergarten at least once!

Another vote for the biergarten. We did it last year for the first time and it was one of the first restaurants I made reservations for for our upcoming trip

If you like German food, go for it. However if you are simply MARRIED to someone who likes German food and you are hoping to get your fill of something other than sausage and sauerkraut, give it a WIDE pass. :cutie:

We had a ressie for our upcoming trip up until about a week ago. We were having seconds thoughts, so we decided it would be best to switch it to Les Chefs de France, for a certain good meal.

I would definitely do the Biergarten! It is fun, festive, and the food is really pretty tasty. My favorite dish was the sour cream pickled herring. If you are adventurous I would give it a try. The desserts were also very good. I would love to eat there again, but since our next trip is only our 2nd one ever, we feel as though we need to try something different and are going to Le Cellier. I also had an Octoberfest beer and it was delicious! Have a great time!!!!

I have always been drawn by the atmosphere & decor, entertainment and reasonable pricing ..... but wasn't sure I would like the food even though I am not picky at all. So we never went. We tried it this last trip in May and liked the food very much ! We were a party of 4, seated at table on lowest level for 8, and they did not seat anyone with us ... which I understand is rare ... so I can not speak to sitting with others. But if you are waivering because of food, don't, there was plenty to choose from.

DH has been BUGGING me to go here. He's been with his family (his mom is German-as in born in Germany) and they all loved it. German food is pretty basic....and there's lots of different kinds of sausage. So for even picky eaters like me I can find plenty of good food!

We're trying it for the first time this year and if it's anything close to the 'real' thing, it'll be great; I lost 5 lbs the week I was in Germany eating the various sausages. :thumbsup2
