Just finished my daily scouring of the internet and found this juicey tid-bit.

Pulled from DarkHorizons.com

The Mummy 3: Arnold Vasloo confirmed on The Big Breakfast another Mummy 'sequel' (note: not the SK prequel) is pretty much going to happen.

I'd like to see another one...They could elborate more on that tattoo on Ricks arm...

They'll make a sequel out of any movie that makes money.
Does anyone remember how many "Revenge of the Nerds" sequels there were?
HAVE FUN

If think there will be a mummy 3, you're right. However!, it is not going to be called Mummy 3. It is going to be called The Scorpion King Movie. Dwayne Johnson(The Rock), also known as the "Scorpion King" is going to have his own feature film. Featuring him, Arnold Vosloo, and The Green Mile man himsefl, Michael Clarke Duncan.:jester:

True that if a movie makes enough money there is always a sequel in the not-to-distant future. My only concern is that Rachel Wiese(sp?) had stated that she would not return for another mummy escapade. I'm also wondering how many of the other actors will return too? Obliviously Arnold will return but will Brendan and the other core cast members?

The Scorpion King is currently shooting out here in Universal Studios Hollywood. - Karen

I don't care how many sequels they make. The more the better. I'd even pay to see Brendan Fraser in a dog food comercial. (He's my HERO!)

Is a prequel.

As for Mummy 3-hmmmmmmm-I wouldn't be surprised if there is one.

This is actually Spielberg Fan, and by the looks of the name, you could figure out I should know a thing or two about movies. So here are the exact facts about "Mummy 3". Number one, Arnold Vasloo is NOT going to be in the "Scorpion King" movie. Only "The Rock" and Michael Clarke Duncan. Two, Arnold Vasloo said that there will be a "Mummy 3". This does not include the "Scorpion King" Which is actually a prequel to the "mummy" movies. It will focus on the scorpion king before he became the scorpion monster from the movie. Three, Steven Sommers is not directing the "Scorpion King", he has produced and took co-writing credit. As for part 3, for right now, only Vasloo is interested in doing another. Frasier, Weiz, and John Hannah have said they do not want to return for another film. So wheather or not Vasloo has the persuasive abilities to get these guys back plus Steven Sommers will be revealed in time. Given that the movie broke "Star Wars'" 3 day opening weekend total, and has already earned 83 million at the box office, definately gives it some push for a sequel to be made.
