TnT Take Over Mexico!!! 6/19 Update!!

Hello everyone!!!

For those who have never met us, let me introduce you the people going on this adventure...

Me (Terry) 28 years old
DW (Toni) 29 years old

DS (Alec) 10 years old
DD (Tailor) 6 years old

We are an average family living in the Great Northwest... We are all Disney fanatics that enjoy everything Disney... We made our first trip to Disneyland together in 2002 on our honeymoon. In 2004, we decided to try out WDW and brought the kids (then 4 and 6mo)... We waited 4 years and brought them back to WDW in 2008 in September, and again in 2009 in September... We had booked an "Adults Only" trip this year to WDW in November, but due to some life circumstances hitting us, we had to cancel that trip... We still wanted to do something Disney, so we decided to push our vacation out a few months and take our kids with us... What else can we do??

DISNEY CRUISE!!!

This is something we have always wanted to do, but never thought it was possible... With the Cruises beginning next year on our side of the country, we figured this was a perfect time to try it...

I got way behind on your other ptr so I didn't know you had to cancel. I'm so sorry. I've had to do that before and it's painfull. But you're making up for it with a cruise!
I've thought about doing the new one's over here on our side of the world too. I'm excited to go on the journey with you!

Our first dilemma....


do we tell the kids about the trip and let them get excited with us, and drive us crazy asking if it is time to go yet...

or....


surprise them on Christmas morning with a few packages like portable DVD players for the drive, and stuffed Captain Mickey/Minnie with pretend tickets to get on the cruise ship....


What do you all think??

As a person who surprised two kids last year about a Disney trip, I would do it again in a heartbeat. There is nothing like the expressions on their faces when they realize what the surprise is. It is a memory I will cherish forever, so I vote surprise at Christmas.

We surprised our kids twice and it was a lot of fun...but nearly killed me to keep the secret!
How ever...it was nice to not hear them "when are we going" all the time.

Can I just say....SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!! This is so much better of a trip!!! I love love LOVE cruises!!! We've never been on a disney one, but I am bound a determined we will sometime hopefully in the near future. I totally vote for surprise at Christmas. I suprised DH at his bday last year with a segway tour on our trip last may and he loved it. He kept saying he wanted to ride one more than just in innoventions, but he didn't even know you could do the tour. Can't wait to read more!!!
