Okay, I will admit, I am not awesome about keeping surprises... You should Terry and I around our birthdays and Christmas...

I will say though, I am still going strong on my parents surprise anniversary party... And this one has been in the works for over a year... So I have like 6 months for the trip... I will just annoy the poo out of you until I tell them...

YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Surprisingly I have kept my fat mouth from telling Devon about our December trip for almost 4 whole months!!! That's pretty darn impressive for me!!! Only about 5 more to go till I can tell him!!!

Alec and Tailor are going to be so surprised!! I can't wait to hear all about their reaction... My whole family is going on a cruise next June... I tried to talk them into the Disney Cruise, but I got out voted, so we are doing the Norweigen Nickelodeon Cruise leaving from NY at the moment!.

Our first dilemma....


do we tell the kids about the trip and let them get excited with us, and drive us crazy asking if it is time to go yet...

or....


surprise them on Christmas morning with a few packages like portable DVD players for the drive, and stuffed Captain Mickey/Minnie with pretend tickets to get on the cruise ship....

Hi TnT! I am sorry your WDW trip was cancelled, but so excited for you to be cruisin! You are going to love it!!! We are taking the Wonder to Canada for the Alaska trips after the Mexico trips! I didn't go back and check your dates, I'm just so for you. I love the idea of your Christmas gifts! I have some things I can scan in from the cruise we were on - maybe one of them will look "official" if you want me to email them to you - I know Terry is really "techy" so he might be able to use it?

I'm sure you have been checking out the cruise forums on the DIS. You can find cruise meets and get to know others from your cruise date! That's where I first "met" Jordan!

There are some informational threads out there - you can learn so much! You will want to read what people are planning, and then look up the info. Just like WDW, there are tips that can really make your cruise more fun!

My best tip: Make ressies for spa, Palo, excursions before you go - if you wait until you're on the ship, you will probably be disappointed. My boss did that and he came back mad that they weren't able to do anything they wanted to do because it was all taken.

You'll get so info from the DIS. That's where I got most of my insider info from. There are cruise meet threads usually started for your specific cruise. Generally speaking, cruise meets tend to be better because you are all stuck on the same ship and you run into people all the time. Many WDW fans end up DCL fans as well and even convert to doing solely DCL....

If you want to experience the ship in it's full glory, forgo an excursion at a port city and stay on the ship. The ship is usually much less crowded and they still have activities on the ship...

We are slowly getting pretty excited about the cruise, we are still pretty bummed about not doing WDW though... Honestly, we don't care about not being at WDW, it's just not getting to spend time with Tracy and Bill...

Thanks for the link... I am going to check it out... I read somewhere that you could book the spa, Palo and stuff early if you did the REAS package, do you happen to know if they still do that?? I couldn't find any info about it on Disney's website....

Terry and I have been scouring the cruise forum... Lots of good info... I just started my binder yesterday, so I will be filling it with my findings...

Terry checked us in at the cruise meet thread and also the fish extender thread... So I am going to order one of those...

We will make sure to save some time while at the port to hang out on the ship... Thanks for the advice!! We can use all you want to give!!!
