TMZ reporting about IASW

Just saw on TMZ that the family of one of the original planners of IASW wrote an open letter to Disney. They are asking that there be no additions of the Dinsey characters to the scenes and no removal of the rain forest. I know we really like the rain forest and hope they do not remove it. Our family is ok with them putting character in where they may belong- ie. Mobley in the rin forest, Lilo in Hawaii, Peter Pan over London. But just putting them in to put them in? I don't know

I don't mind of they put lilo and peter pan and all them in there towns.... you have to remeber your in disneyland.... I don't think they should get rid of the rainforest but adding the charecters would be alright in my books! I don't think they would do anything that would make the ride all that diffrent because its one of everyones fav. and i don't think they would want to ruin that!

The fact that DCA was never about Disney didnt work out at all. No Disney characters, no nothing. I think its the reason WHY Disney wants to but the characters into Its a small world. It makes perfect sense.

But IASW works as is. I's a lovely ride and I for one wish they would leave it the way it was designed in its original form. I think the addition of the characters is just another marketing opportunity -- as if we don't already have enough while in/around the parks.

I'm okay with them adding characters, as long as it's done tastefully. I will miss the rainforest though, but it would be nice to have an American scene.

I don't know, I guess I'm optimistic about it. Hopefully it will be like the POTC changes. In that it actually made the ride even more enjoyable. One can hope!

I agree with you. I'd prefer they just left it alone!!!!!!! But if they must "toon it up" then it should be characters that fit with that country/land. We don't need Buzz Lightyear or Mickey somewhere.

Maybe Disney is forgetting what this ride was supposed to be about??????

i always thought it was fine the way it is. The line was always long when i was there...
