Good afternoon all. We finally got our first snow fall yesterday. DH measured about 4" on the deck. I have to admit it was very pretty.

12/4~ NO call today. Disney Studios. Cold and rainy.

12/5~ I called around 2:00pm. EPCOT all day. Stef was in "France" eating a
raspberry turnover. The boys just got done doing the "Kim Possible" thing.

12/6~ 8:00am. I missed her call this morning. She left me a message that they were leaving Disney and heading to Orlando on the way home. They want to stop at "South of the Boarder" around 3:00pm. Will be stoping 10:00pm in W.Virgina. Then start fresh in the morning. They hope to be home Monday afternoon. I hope to hear from her soon.

Ev~ I like #3 on that list.

Hey Guys!
Well, we've finally dug out from the great Houston Snow Storm

4 inches was our total. The kids had a blast, it was pretty and now I'm done with that.
I have so much left to do. DH had me block out the rest of the month so I'm not working the rest of December . He is being called all over the state (was told by his boss that he was going to have to miss DD's/our Family's open house because she had a 'problem' scheduling)
Who on earth schedules meetings on Friday nights during December????? Scrooge comes to mind.

We 'persuaded' him to re-think the situation and while it cost us personally $150.00 he will be here in time. I have told him to keep her far away from me and he can write her xmas card this year.
While his boss may be female and perhaps isn't the right smiley-I think ya'll KWIM when I use it.

There is a ton to do. I feel overwhelmed but, it always gets done, it will get done. if i keep saying this maybe it will become true

12/6~ 7:35pm. Just got of the phone with Pikester. They just got into Virgina and still got along way to go before they retire for the night. They expect to check into their motel around 11:00pm. Boy, I am tired just thinking about it.

Bopsmom~ Nice to hear from you. The trick is to click or heels three times and say "It will get done. It will get done". Has your snow melted yet?

DL55~ I will be right over for a hot cup of tea and a cookie.

D&D~ I can't wait to hear from the kids. You know how boys are, they will say " Ya I had fun" and go about their business. They just don't give a lot of details. Guys, what can you do.

Looks like winter has officially arrived here. Not only did we get snow yesterday, right now it is only 26 degrees here. Brrr. I am so not ready for this.

I was talking with DH last night and I almost got him to admit that he misses Disney. I know someone who just stayed in the Treehouse Villas and they posted some pictures of them on facebook. Those really peaked DH's interest and I even got a "Iwonder how much those run" from him. I've been good with planning our vacations since we did go to Disney 3 years in a row and I know DH was getting tired of it. I won't plan another Disney vacation until it's his idea....I just have to convince him that it's his idea.

Sukie, looking forward to Pikester getting back. And sending good travel conditions to all who are traveling right now.

Bopsmom, oh you know you'll get it all done before you leave. You're DH's boss must be related to my DH's boss. He has absolutely no concept that people have a life outside of "work". I think this week, DH will be in both Long Island and DC. If we are lucky, he might get to stop here for a night during his travels.

That is a long drive. I hope Pikester has a safe trip. Will the weather hold out for them?

The snow melted by yesterday morning-we had a tiny,tiny anthill size patch from DD's snowball pile. It was sad to see it gone by the time we got home from church. Now we are left with mushy yards and some frost-bit plants.

Boys don't talk unless something gory/gross happens-then you will get every bitty detail.
Working at DD's school has put me 'in the loop' so she and her friends always relate the latest drama/news whether or not I want to hear it. It's like Peyton Place in that school

My feet finally got warm yesterday. I like winter but, I hate the cold.

You might have to whisper into your husband's ear while he sleeps, "you want to see Mickey, you want to see Mickey" Hope he comes up with the idea soon.

She loves to decorate and since she now doesn't have to do her house (we switched the big family xmas to here on the 27th); she's always happy to pitch-in.

Well, it's time to get this house up and moving.

Hello ladies! Quickie hello just to let y'all know that I got back Stateside just fine. Seemed to bring the snow with me! Still a bit jet-lagged, trying to get on a regular schedule. Otherwise, such a fantastic trip, but so glad to be home! Have lots of stuff to do, especially getting ready for the holoidays. Will be back later to play catch-up!

Had to leave the hiking boots outside today. After two days of melting this morning 's temp was 41. Unfortunately my walking path was all sticky mud. I think I had a couple of pounds of mud on my boots. I had to stop and scrape them a couple of times. I'll have to remember not to walk when the temp is above freezing in the am.

I haven't slept in 4 nights and so now I am run down and I went to the dr today and I have an upper respitory infection and pink eye. Great. Will it never end? Will try to come back one of these days.

I had to come and comment on this. When my baby was first born, she got bronchiolitis in the first week along with pink eye. It was awful. The doc was waiting for us to end up at the er. She told me everything to watch for and when to take her, but we made it through. She spent the first couple months of her life sick. Once she got over one thing, she got another. At 6 weeks, she had RSV, which she got from the now 2 yr old. We had the hardest few months, but she's wonderful now. I know its hard, but you'll make it through. Trust your instincts, you know what's best for your baby. I hope you bother recover quickly. Poor, little baby.
