Mmm...I love Disney food talk! I love Boulangerie Patisserie and Plaza Ice Cream! I'd like to add Starring Rolls in DHS--yummy snacks there, also the shakes in that boat-looking thing on the way to Indian Jones. I also like to get egg rolls in that cart in Asia in AK. And those cookie ice cream sandwiches!

Pikester, sounds like you had a yum-yum vacation based on the snacks alone!

Ev, spaghetti totally counts. Sounds like you're having a great birthday. Have a little drinky-poo for me too! Waiting until Friday to do my celebrating, I'll have some bites of cake in your honor too!

Just a quick note you can also get dole whips at the counter service place in the Poly. Oh and they are self-serve there, if you can get it in the cup it's one flat price.
(I don't care for pineapple myself, but my DH loved it)

Hello.

D&DDisney, wow that weather sounds horrible. We got a little bit of snow overnight before it turned to sleet. It finally turned to rain this morning. The kids had a 2 hour delay and I couldn't wait to them to leave. All it did was give another 2 hours to argue and fight.

DL55, we'll be getting wind tomorrow but only 40mph. Good luck fixing the roof. We have to fix our patio roof as soon as it gets nice out here.

Pikester, it was too much food on the QS dining plan too? We stopped getting the regular dining plan because it was too much food. I was hoping that the next time we go, the QS plan would be perfect. It does sound like you had a wonderful dining time.

Pikester those pix were awesome. I went to the beach! Yay! Glad you had a great trip.

Thanks for letting me know that Japan is better than China--I've passed that on to Charlie. Also, he asked about the place (at the Poly?) where they bring you meat on a stick. Is that O'Hana's? He thought that one sounded really good.

It was 63 here today, and we had wicked rain in the morning, but by lunchtime the sun came out and it was pretty nice. I really feel for those of you dealing with the ugly white stuff.

This morning I went to the orientation for parents for the vocational school program that DD will be going into next year. I learned ALOT! She will be able to do much more than I realized. If all goes well, after 9th grade, which is "exploratory"--each quarter they do a different area, like Food Service, Baking, Horticulture, etc. Then for 10th grade she has to pick just one, which will probably be Food Service (but maybe Baking). If she does well in that and is able to handle it (which she should be able to, since she's been to cooking school for 3 years!), she can be mainstreamed into the regular vocational culinary program for Jr. and Sr. years. They do classwork at some of the local hotels and resorts,and are taught by the chefs there! Plus she would get some college credit for some of the coursework, which is taught in the same building as the local community college's culinary program. It's all very exciting!

Best of all, I got my bike!!! WalMart finally called and said it was ready, so DD and I went over today to get it. It is SO pretty! we had a heck of a time getting it in the car, but DD suggested turning it onto it's side, and it did fit that way. I adjusted the seat and took a short ride around the driveway. SOOOOO COOL!!

whgrn, we usually eat at 'Ohanas everytime we go to WDW. In fact, it's the only place that my DH will request to eat at. Otherwise he doesn't care where we eat. We really like the chicken wings and the bread pudding for dessert. And if they partake in adult beverages, the Lapu Lapu is awesome.

That sounds like a wonderful opportunity for you DD.

Well the storm finally made it here overnight. It's very cold and blizzardy out and the highway is closed because of blowing snow. Thank goodness school is still on...still have DD home but didn't want DS as well.

Hello ladies!

Just wanted to let those of you on the TKers Christmas Card Exchange list that I mailed my cards today. Please forgive the chicken scratch though. Every year I say I'm going to take my time and write as nice as I can but it never seems to work. I guess I just write messy.

Jo: I think it was you that said something about you thinking it was a lot of food on the DDP and you were hoping that the QSP was better. I should have been a little more specific and say that the Quick Meals credits work great it was mostly the snacks that we had to use up the night before we left. I think we had 11 unused ones that DH had to go down and just grab stuff so that we used them up. Two of our meals we paid out of pocket so we used those QS for breakfasts instead of eating some of the stuff we brought from home.

I HATE having my picture taken. I always look like a dork. Or at the very least stoned.

Hey all, home again with baby Walter. Just had a question for any of you on FB. I signed on for a minute this morning and typed a comment on a friends photo, then got off for Walter. I have tried signing on several times since then and it keeps telling me I have been restricted access due to signing on from an IP that has been known to cause abusive behaviour??? WTH?? Does this mean someone hacked my account? All I typed on my friends picture was So Cute!

Afternoon! Completely different world today compared to yesterday. While still bitterly cold, the sun is out at least!

LITC..I just logged into FB for you and didn't get any such notice. Even signed out and back in to check. Does seem that you got hacked somehow. DId you really sign out or just close the window? I'd send an email to FB and see if there's any way to prove you're the real you.

Pikester...you look absolutely adorable in your pictures. I think regardless of how you think you look, you should always take tons of pictures (after all you can always delete the really, really bad ones). You're making memories! I always tell BF, we're only getting older every day, and we'll look back and think "wow, what were we complaining about? we looked good back then!"

Oh man, meat on a stick? Like the Brazilian chiacuscurro? Mmm...now I MUST get to O'Hanas for dinner. Although I will say last trip we snagged a last minute dinner at Boma and I fell in love with the place! Yummy!

My friend has so far made it to Port Authority in Manhattan. He's expected to arrive sometime after 6:30. He keeps complaining about his weather in southern Maryland. Wow, will he be surprised with upstate NY weather! And to boot, he's making me stand outside Saturday morning waiting for this wicked doll sale. He so owes me big time. I even cleaned the bathroom for him---which beleive me, I find any way to avoid!

LITC - I am having trouble signing onto FB and once I got on, I had trouble posting. Some went through while others did not. Glad its not just my computer. I was starting to worry too.

Pikester- You look just fine in the pics. We are always hardest on ourself. Love the Pedro pic. Like DL55 it looked to me like he had sticks under his toenails. Had to take a double take.

Kitty - Are you getting our bad weather today???? Is that the friend we met this summer? He was sooo nice. Glad you cleaned the bathroom for him.

Ev - Isn't that storm a monster??? I so hope your DH gets home alright and that your DD gets better soon. Keep us posted.

Pikester, those pictures are great, if I didn't say that before. Looks like those flat tkers had a good time. And you look great in your pictures. And not a bit stoned. Yes, I mentioned about the QS plan being a lot of food. If it was just the snacks that you had left over, that works for me. The times that we had the regular dining plan, we always ended up with tons of snacks left over at the end of our trip. We always got a bunch of snacks for the drive home.

LITC, how's your baby doing? I hope he's making a speedy recovery. And you too. I haven't had problems with facebook tonight. It is loading slow for me though.

whgrn, like Ev said, 'Ohana is the one with meat on a stick. Since, they are late in making their ADRs, tell them to try for off times for everything. A last lunch seating could double as an early dinner, etc. They might have more luck that way.

DL55, has your weather calmed down out there? It was suppose to be very windy here today but it somehow missed us. Lucky for once.
