Marie---I can help you with your post count...Do short posts--not long ones. Break them up into smaller groups! I just love decorating for Christmas but I just cannot find the time to do the tree. Plus my living room has too much furniture. I do my snowmen and then keep them up for winter.

Wendy---My dad made up all kinds of stories as to how Santa got into our house (no chimney), how he came without snow. I think that's how I got to use my imagination. My toys from Santa were not wrapped. They were just under the tree. The ones from my parents were wrapped. They said it helped them remember not to use the same paper! I like the Polar Express too.

M&N, I have special "Santa paper" that the kids don't know about. It miraculously appears on their presents from Santa, but they never see it in the closet with the other wrapping paper. I've done that since they were toddlers!

Not sure I will get on the computer much in the next few days. Mom is staying over in the spare room. We are having about 12 people for dinner on Thurs. I so love having a dinning room and filling it with family for a big dinner.

Whgrn - I do the same thing. I buy special wrapping paper that is just for Santa. I have also practiced changing my writing so it looks more like Santa's signature.

Has anyone ever tried brining their turkey???? I have read the thread about it and I am tempted to try it. We'll see.

Well, I was going to wait until tomorrow to say Happy Thanksgiving but I see some of you are going to have computer access for a while so I better say it now.

Sadly, Santa and the ToothFairy "died" for DS12 a couple of weekends ago. DH and I went for dinner and left the kids home with Sukie. DS12 lost a tooth and niether he nor Sukie thought to mention it. DS12 put the tooth under his pillow and when I was in his room the next day while he was making his bed I noticed it under his pillow. I asked him when he lost that and he told me, "Last night. I guess the TF didn't come. She's either too lazy to get off the couch our there is no such thing as the TF." I asked which he thougth it was and he said that she didn't exist. So, I gave him a dollar out of my wallet. That was the end of that. Later that day he was watching an old video of Christmas from when he was 2 or 3yrs old. There was a point when I gave him a gift from Santa to open and for some reason it wasn't working. So what does genius Mom do? Grabs the toy from him, looks it over and exclaims, "Well, it was working when I bought it." Oops! There went Santa. I let him know that we need to keep this new information to himself because he still has a little brother in the house and to let said brother discover it on his own. That goes for kids at school too. DS12 didn't seem disappointed but he also mentioned that he had heard some things at school about the TF and Santa so I think he all ready had an idea.

Hey Wendy, I Googled the "Yes Virginia" for Tyler to read after he made his discovery. I told him that we are all Santa.

I'm eighth in post counts, not bad for not talking too much. I'll be able to get farther ahead of mariezp since she'll be in WDW.

I can't remember when I discovered there was no Santa. We kept telling our Grandpa we believed..it seemed to make him happy. Once it was official I got to stay up Christmas Eve and help put the Santa packages out. I would hide a special roll of paper also. Although it was disappointing to find out I did not resent my parents for the rest of my life for lying. I read on another thread someone hasn't trusted her parents ever since the discovery. (I think there was probably other reasons as well though).

Hi!! I got to see my youngest DD perform in her first school play today. The kindergarten classes performed 5 little songs about Thanksgiving for the parents. They also had a dessert party afterwards. It was so cute. Her last school had stopped doing that kind of stuff so it was extra special.

M&N, that's a cool trick you figured out. I'll have to take your advice and start posting one word replies to everyone just to attempt to catch up to you.

I don't remember exactly what age I discovered there was no Santa but it was pretty young. I use to snoop for presents and found my parents hiding place.

In case I don't get on here tomorrow I just want to say...

Thank you, all of you, for becoming such wonderful friends. Though I haven't known you all for that long, I feel as though I've known you forever.

Well, M&N I guess I will have to start taking your advice to spread out my posts in shorter ones to rack up my count..... especially since DL55 is plotting to go sailing past me in my absence! Of course, with the log posts I usually make, if I break them up in mini posts it would end up resulting in a mariezp marathon!

This is the last one for the night. Gotta get up early and start cooking so this is really really going to be my last Thanksgiving post. It's a good one from my naughty Aunt Lucy.

A game warden was driving down the road when he came upon a young boy carrying a wild turkey under his arm.

He stopped and asked the boy, 'Where did you get that turkey?'

The boy replied, 'What turkey?'

The game warden said, 'That turkey you're carrying under your arm.'
