Happy Monday all:

It's a great game...you just have to remember to check every day to see if it's your turn.

Muppets in Space???:lmao::lmao:
Never would have thought of that one...my fav light comedy is Princess Bride...just love the cast. On the little more raunchy side I love Porky's, a low budget teen flick Kim Cattrell made in her twenty...some of the scenes are priceless.

The Ortho guy is a friend so he just blew it off by saying it will be easy to fix...have an ortho surgeon pull the extra tooth...pull some baby teeth to make room for others...braces to fix her bad overbite:eek:...but all done over a period of years. Thank god for dental coverage!! She has an appointment in Nov to cast forms of her mouth.

Better get my butt in gear. TTYL

I like the Princess Bride too.

"Hello," he said. "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

DH and I can not wait until DS11 is old enough to watch Porky's. We love that movie! One of my favorite parts is the Micheal Hunt scene. Classic!:thumbsup2

Where are all my friends? I imagine a lot of you are busily getting ready for school to start. I do hope it was a good day that kept you from me!

Ev, Muppets from Space rocks. I've always had a soft spot for Muppets, but that movie is awesome. Most of the music is Stevie Wonder or Earth, Wind, and Fire. I love Pepe the King Prawn! Its a more recent movie, so you'll recognize a lot of the suprise stars.

Ok, I have to brag a little. First, I have the most amazing boyfriend. He's wonderful for putting up with my zany ideas, crazy antics, insane planning. I love his laid back attitude and how he really doesn't care what I have up my sleeve.

All this praise is due to the AMAZING PLANNING DAY we've had. Boyfriend had a $25 credit with Hotwire, so we bit the bullet today and booked a room for our arrival night. We're arriving at 9:30, and are picking up our rental car the next day, so we needed an airport hotel with a shuttle. So we found a 4 star hotel on Hotwire for $52/night. With taxes, minus the credit, we paid $42 for the Hyatt Regency. Most of you know this hotel as the one in the airport! We've always talked about staying there, and now we are! :woohoo:

Great deal 2: called about La Nouba tix. Found out just make a reservation and pay at will-call day of show. Perfect! We are now reserved to see Cirque de Soleil! Awesome! With my AP discount (which the agent didn't know about, I had to correct her), we have two seats for $108!

Great deal 3: apparently September is also Magical Dining Month in Orlando. I made dinner reservations at Emeril's at Universal Citywalk for after we see BMG! And for the promo, its a $30 prix fixe menu! I have always fantasized about eating at Emerils, but they tell you to budget ~$100/pp....I could never do that. But for $60? Its a deal!

Great deal 4: finally cashed in my credit card points for my Sea World tickets. Two days at Sea World for free! Just have to find a way to get cheap parking....

This trip is really turning out to be a fantasy trip. I cannot beleive how blessed we are. Now I just need to get my BMG tix and we are all set. Doing the happy dance! :cool1:

Congrats on all the great deals! Just gotta love that BF.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen Porky's...I may have to rent it. Is it anything like REvenge of the Nerds? I did see that....it was pretty funny!

Porky's is very raunchy! Some nudity and lots of "sex" related stuff going on but funny.

I also loved when the boys were at PE and everyone was laughing so hard because of "Lassie".

%&$*%^ just heard from Mom. Dad has started with blood in the urine. This could mean he will need dialysis NOW. (it could also just be from the heparin, aspirin and Plavix). He sees the kidney doctor at 9 am. They told him if it gets worse over night, to go to the ER, either near them or at U of PA. I asked him how much blood and he said "a considerable amount".
&^%#%

And Mom didn't refill her Xanax yet...

Please pray!

Wendy, are you sure he should wait until morning? I'm so sorry for this turn of events. Sending my prayers out to you and your family!

Ok ladies, I've got a non-serious question for you all. I want to buy a Disney Antenna Topper. I've been wanting to buy one since our very first trip but did the "hemming and hawing" about it and never did. Well, I've decided to order one to have for our trip and I was wondering if buying a rainbow colored Mickey head one would mean something.

I don't know if this translates to Disney-speak, but in some circles, anything rainbow colors generally means gay pride.

I like the Princess Bride too.

My fav is the whole getting the sketch artist..."Have you seen this prick" routine!! I remember being in the theatre and the man in front of me actually fell out of his chair. Michael Hunt was a great gag too.

Rainbows are heavy duty Gay Pride here.

Wendy ~ Fingers crossed for your Dad.

Thanks for the prayers and good wishes for Dad.

As if my parents and DSis didn't have enough to deal with, their well pump has gone bad and has to be replaced. They can flush the toilets, but cannot shower or drink the water.

I'm telling you, you just can't make this stuff up! It's almost comical, that's how bad it is.

On my end, I was proactive and took a shower tonite, rather than waiting til morning. Not gonna be sleeping any time soon, if at all--I dare not take my sleeping pill in case I end up having to drive in the middle of the night.

Needless to say, the kids and I will NOT be going to Cape May tomorrow. I just hope this is a non-event, so we can spend this weekend relaxing at a nice resort with my parents. I hate to think of them spending their 50th anniversary in a hospital.

Pollyanna says don't look for trouble...they will get through this. If the anniversary is spent in the hospital, it's still their special day.
You need to take deep breaths...stay calm...they need your strenght now. You are nice and clean and ready for anything. :grouphug:

Well, so far so good. No more bleeding during the night. We are leaning towards the medicine angle as the cause. He's at the doctor as we speak. More later...

Good morning! Wendy, I was thinking about your Dad just a few minutes ago. So good to hear that you think its just a medical cause. Still keeping me fingers crossed for even better news from the doctor's appt!

Just checking in to see if there's any news on Wendy's Dad...glad to hear they didn't have to go to emerg last night.

Morning MK.:)

Morning Ev! beautiful day here....looks like summer finally arrived in time for fall....

Biding my time. Letting BF get some happiness in his breakfast before I break it to him that I'm calling for MNSSHP tix today. I figure I may as well get everything done....here's hoping that his cereal had some happy in it! Feeding him is definitely the key to getting what I want....

That's great Wendy...gotta keep that kidney working as long as possible.

I went for my bloodwork and they did not have me down. Was I sure it was for there? I said I made two at the same time. My next appointment in the computer was in Sept---yeah, for the results of today's tests! The lady is the one who figured out the 2 weeks to make the Sept one. I was very nice and they were too...fit me in about 45 min later. They had to get the orders too. It wasn't a big deal but I do need to eat sometime...lunch is coming up...not supposed to skip any meals...throws off the sugar making...I also took my own test to check what my monitor says against what the real lab work says. They told me to do that at the classes I took.

Have a good day. I'm going to lunch with the friend who retired when I did. Then I'm going to the local fair with another friend. I was going to try and get to the fitness center. The girl there said she would show me some new machines...busy-busy-busy! No house work for me today! :woohoo:

Rough morning already M&N! Glad they got it sorted out..

Busy, busy, busy....sounds like a wonderful day! You'll do plenty of walking at the fair, make sure to stay hydrated! Good weather to be outdoors too!
