I've been having bad insomnia lately...think is menopause starting!!

Sukie, we are having venison burgers tonight for dinner. Our whole freezer is stuffed with ground venison so if you have any good recipes, pass them along please.

Does your DH hunt? Venison is the 2nd most popular food item here in WI next to cheese and maybe brats. My brother and other family members hunt every year. I just never developed a taste for it though. Bummer cuz we are always offered steaks and other meat.

mariezp We'll be at the DFW airport in April on our way to a southern Caribbean cruise.

It is snowing here. DH got up at 5:30 (for work), I asked him if there was snow. He said no snow yet when I got up 45 min later there was an inch of snow. I'm not sure he used his eyes. He's usually on auto pilot anyway.

I forgot about your cruise. Is DFW the closest airport to you?

So hard to get used to NM having snow. Just wrong!!!!!

D&DDisney El Paso has an airport but we have to fly to larger airports for connections. Trying to decide to pay more to go from DFW to SJU or save $150 and hop all over the country (2 connections).
M&N Saw your post on the decluttering thread. I wanted to join but my desire faded as quickly as my desire to declutter.

It's still snowing but melting also, what a mess.

Afternoon ladies! I see everyone is doing well today. It was so freakin cold this morning! With the wind chill, we were -12! That isn't even a real number!

I was hoping to hold out until NYE to start the new thread, but once we hit 250, I'll close this one, start a new one, and let the mods know we've moved, as usual.

I think we mostly agreed on Six Threads Under and Still Killin' Time, didn't we? I guess since most of us are around today, we'll finalize our name.

D&D is rollin in the money! Don't forget about us when you're living the high life, ok?

M&N...I like your thinking! Different eating habit is so much nicer than that other D*** word.

My grandfather was Chinese and fully believed in Feng Shui. I never really learned most of it, but the ones I remember, I still stick to....like you should never place your bed with your feet facing the door. Or how you shouldn't place your purse on the floor. Weird stuff like that. I do think that since billions of Chinese have ascribed to the practice, there may be something to it...

I don't know if its Feng Shui or just my lazy ancestors, but we always clean before New Years day and are not allowed to clean at all on the day itself. Its supposed to avoid loosing money and luck by washing it away.

We also don't wear white, as its the color of mourning and we don't want to wear it at all in the upcoming year. Red is preferred as it is the color we wear for celebrations.

Addendum: Blissworld.com is having a sale on its fit flops, they're now half price. I've been told by several people that they work! I'm always in flip flops anyways, so I may as well try them. Anything to try get more fit. There are free shipping codes too!

Just because I posted on the declutter thread doesn't mean I'm going to get it accomplished! I have attention deficit housecleaning. The same applies to getting rid of clutter. By the time I get one space decluttered and start another, the first is a mess again!

I missed putting out the mail so I guess I had better put on my hat (my hair is standing all which ways) and go to the drive up mail box at the Post Office. I hope Patrick won't blow away!

The hotel was, I think, the Holiday Inn Harrisburg West/Hershey (or something close to that). There was an ice machine for sure, and Kitty was on the newly refurbished side, I wasn't. Breakfast buffet was quite nice, kids would love it. So, when are we looking at date-wise? Please tell me it's in July! (I'll be in Turkey for most of August)

MK I think I'm in trouble with the Feng Shui thing. We have 4 bedrooms and every single bed has the feet facing the door! In 3 of the rooms, there is just no other way to position it. Oh well, maybe I can use that as an excuse for lack of peace in my house...

I do not care for venison--too gamey for my tastes. I have a big pork tenderloin in the crock pot and we will be having pulled pork BBQ for dinner tonite. Yum!

It is frigid and windy here too. The thermometer on my back porch reads 12, but I know it's a little higher than that. The wind chill this morning was 7. WHO TURNED OFF THE HEAT????

We are looking at the end of June right now. I've heard that it's less busy and DH has less going on during that time. The date is not set in stone yet.

Hello ladies. I'm still up and it's 5 outside. Brrrrrr!

DH is sleeping on the couch and DS12 is sleeping in the recliner. I plan on leaving them there. If they can't get themselves up to bed then boo to them.

Yay Hershey! I have a hard time planning because I want stuff decided now. Atleast the dates any ways. DH has to check his bike race schedule before I can set the dates. Right now I'm looking at Father's Day Sunday June 20th as an arrival day and then the 25th as a departure day. Just need to decide which days are park days and which days are other stuff days.

Sorry---do not know Jonestown. I checked a little map to see where it was. I didn't see Hershey on the map too. It was east of rt 72 so not sure how far away it is. Mapquest the hotel and HP---100 W. Hersheypark Dr., Hershey, PA 17033.
