TKers: Six threads under and still killin' time....

Good Morning,

Just had to share something. I was going through my DS12's homework this morning and found some sentences that he had to write using his spelling words. In one of the sentences he had to use the words forever and because. I got to one that made me cry. It said...

I write sentence becuse I now my mom will luv me forever.


Now to give you a little background on my DS12, he has a language processing disorder which makes it very hard for him to speak in age appropriate language, or express himself in written or oral form. Writing his thoughts on paper can sometimes be a nightmare. He is also the son that has RAD. He's told me he loves me a million times but it is always superficial and usually has some sort of "edge" to it. He has always been stand-offish and not very close to me or anyone else.
To see him express that he knows I will love him forever is HUGE!!!! This is going up on the fridge to remind me on the days when I don't think I will ever get through to him.

And to think this is the same boy who got in trouble for flipping off the teacher a day earlier.

Wow, you guys were chatty last night haha. I'm at work...boo. Currently I have a male coworker that is lingering in our office and won't go away..ARRRGGGG! Be gone ha ha. Nice guy, but man he is chatty today...I just want to read the DIS (Wow that sounds bad, but I am on my lunchbreak ha ha)

Not much new here...weather is wonderful. Kids are off at Karate. I have discovered the joys of youtube. All the BBC historical mini-series are on there. Started off watching my fav...Conlin Firth (yum!) as Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice and have gone through Jane Eyre, Sense & Sensability and I'm now on Emma.



You are now Kate's hero since she's convinced her vote made all the difference!!

I am happy to do it...now I get to be a hero..yay me! Tell her I will put her vote in for him every week. I got her back.

Hey there Jenn! We're a bit obsessed on here also. But BF is holding out on a trip to the World this year for me!

I know how you feel. I told DH about my pin code for free QS dining and he just said "Hmm". Talk about being ignored!!!!

So one "chatty" coworker left only to be replaced with another (also a nice enough guy ha ha) So I guess I will go "chat" for the rest of my lunchbreak lol.

Evening ladies! I am back from New Jersey and I am so glad! What was I thinking trying to get stuff done in Jersey on a Friday afternoon?! The traffic wasn't so bad, but there was a lot of construction where I was and that just made everything that much more difficult. But I did go to the Asian food store and stocked up on lots of yummies!

It didn't start raining until I was about 45 minutes from home, so that wasn't too bad. But its coming down pretty steady right now. Its been chilly all day. I'm back to my flannel jammies.

D&D...hugs to you and DS! What a momentous occasion. I'm so proud of him. And all his Aunties on here love him too!

so, Pepper, did you manage to get ANYTHING done? It was just Friday blues. Everyone wants to chat and not work.

jenn...I kinda know how to scrapbook. I'm pretty good when I manage to sit down and commit myself to doing it. Sadly, those times are few and far between. I save everything and have ambitions to make a great scrapbook one day! I think the hardest thing for me to learn was that I didn't have to use every single picture and I could cut them up for more variety and interest. I'm no good at using stickers though. what made your morning yucks?

while at work last night some of the things it had me pick were for scrapbooking, and at lunch i went to take a look at the stuff for it and it looked fun.. so i was thinking of making some for my vacations..


when i got off work this mornign i was tired for one, and had a horribl headache.. but mom had to go to sams and so did i.. so yeah add an extra hour and a half after work, that i was out without headache meds.. it just got worse..

i do tend to be creative.. but i dont really have anything to do when i get my urges... so maybe scrapbooking would be good. My mom wants to do it too, so i figure i can start on last years disney vacation, and she can work on a family one, she has a heck of alot more family pics than i do.. and it would get her mind off her surgeries ..


yeah past.. almost 4 years(in june) ive overnights. 10pm to 7am, i work at walmart. Im actaully suppose to be in the back as ICS(Inventory control specilist) but they put me on the floor stocking alot too.. it has its moments.. i do get discounts at disney and seaworld, and universal studios.. so it has its ups.. lol

Pepper...Kate is very funny she told her friends at school that she has a friend call Pepper who lives in Virginia and votes for her. I'll have to get out the atlas and show her where exactly that is.

I think it would be great if you and your Mom did the scrapbooking together! I would recommend either getting a bin for your supplies or a dedicated space for it, coz you'll really need space.

I get a lot of my scrapbooking stuff from Walmart! They have some great Disney stickers I used for my last trip pictures. Overnights are hard...I"m so impressed at your schedule.

yeah mom needs something to get her mind of things. the thing from what i figure abotu scrapbooking, i can use the regluar stickers like the ones they usually have by the cards. those can go in there too. I figure i would start off with a blank one, not a disney one, and do the cover myself too.. really personalize it. there is a medium pink at walmart... that i like.. and then just add pages, and get the different style pages i wants.. stickers.. etc.. course i really have no idea what to get..

heh yeah its alright.. less ppl at night, except like tonight on fridays saturdays are worse though, but i dont work tommorrow or sunday so its okay.

oh yeah there are tons and tons of discounts most of the workers dont even know about them.. i used my discount on last years trip for disney. and this year i will be using it for universal and seaworld tickets..
