Hey there my fellow TKers!! Extremely ready for this whole weekend to be over!!!!
Good morning ladies (and sweet dreams jenn!). Another bleh day here. Its been raining since last night and supposed to remain wet, gloomy, and chilly. Oh well. I do know that warm weather will happen sometime....
I just saw some reporting on the volcano in Iceland. How crazy! I didn't realize jus how disruptive it is. It is kinda cool though. In this day and age of technology, we just can't beat Mother Nature. Really, with the volcanoes and earthquakes, its just nuts out there!
Let it be said that I would go to Disney any time, any day, as many times as I could. BF is actually pushing for us to move to Florida eventually, but the last few times we were there in early fall it was WAY TOO HOT! I just didn't enjoy the parks as much. Anyway, we're still in negotiations. I say, live within driving distance, a few hours or so. It all depends on if I win the lottery....
I lost my melons yesterday! I forgot to tell you. It was not one of my best moments. After the grocers, we went to the shipping place. I opened my trunk and all my groceries kept flying out! My tangerines, my honeydew, my canteloup went rolling across the parking lot. Worst was, the honeydew got trapped under the axle of this truck behind me and I couldn't get it out! I had to get down on my knees, get the help of one of the shipping guys and whack the heck out of my melon to get it loose. But I did it! Now I"m just questioning if the melon is any good after all that....
let's have a good day everyone!
Hey there my fellow TKers!! Extremely ready for this whole weekend to be over!!!!
jenn...where in upstate did you live?
Almost anywhere else is cheaper than living in NY...which BF loves to point out to me over and over again. I'd still like a white Christmas though...but if I could attend a few Mickey parties, I guess both BF and I would be satisfied.
Hey folks....
Well it's very cold here today, actually had the dread S word falling off and on...nothing accumulating though.
DH took DS to London and bought him his golf clubs...they were for his 10th birthday (which happened in feb). They had hope to go out and shoot a few balls but the weather put a damper on that...maybe tomorrow.
Other than that it's been a wonderfully quiet weekend...just what I needed.
Hey Jenn! My BIL and SIL live down there now and they told us that the good districts are few and far between. They had to do a lot of researching to find someplace that they were happy with.
The school district that we used to live in was going down hill fast and that's part of the reason we had to move. We did some research around here and found an awesome school district.
We'll get to Florida but not until my youngest graduates in an other 12 years.
i was in 6th grade and 7th when i was down there.. we were in kissimmee.. and yeah schools werent great at all.. ended up being homeschooled till we moved here
If you don't mind sharing, how long ago was that? My BIL is in a great school district according to him and I wonder if things have changed somewhat. I would love to move down there sooner but I know I could never home school. I don't have the patience for it.
That was quite a while ago. I wonder if things have improved in some areas?
I am so ready for my vacation. August just seems so far away yet.
jenn...I lived in Syracuse for a while and went to college in Binghamton. My BF during that time went to Syracuse University, so I was there all the time. That's a huge change to go to Florida from the snow belt!
Its cold here too. I had just washed my winter coat. I was going to put it away for the season, but looks like it'll have to stay out a while longer.
