Good morning ladies. Happy Good Friday to those who observe. Here's a bit of trivia...today is the only day in the year where there is no Mass being held in the Catholic Church. Most churches just hold stations of the cross.

My sister will be coming up from the city tonight. She hasn't visited since Christmas. I'm going to put her to work this weekend on the backyard with me. ha ha!

Its gorgeous out there and supposed to remain nice all weekend. Hope everyone also has this wonderful weather and some great plans for it! Let's have a good day everyone!

Hello everyone. Not to much time to catch up right now, Walter just fell asleep, but never takes a long morning nap. Have the day off of work :cool1:, excited to be with Walter e ven if it is unpaid. The time is far more precious. If I don't get back on (and I might not) everyone have a very happy easter.

Hello ladies!

No school here today so the kids and I slept in. Actually DS12 and I slept in but DS8 was up as per usual. He was chomping at the bit to ask me if he could play the Wii. We only let them play on the weekends but if there is a vacation day or something we allow them to play for a little bit.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the temps is 61 (in the shade)! :woohoo:

I know that I will stop in on Sunday but for those of you who may not...

Good Good Friday morning to everyone! (Just wanted to say that)
After the wind rearranged the landscape again, it seems to be a nice day today. :cool2:

I heard about the accident at Fort Wilderness. So sad. :sad2:
I just heard my uncle had his legs collapse on him in KMart. He had my 2nd cousin with him but she's 7mos pregnant. Apparently this happened last August also. He dragged himself to the fence then to the porch. He's out in the country during the warm months. He doesn't want to use a Life Alert. :sad2: 88 year olds can sure be stubborn.

Thanks Pikester. He is a ornery ol cuss (yet very lovable). I expect him to go out fighting.

Hi All!

Weather here has been sooooo incredible - 80s and sunny. We've been spending every waking moment out there cuz 'round here you never know how long it will last.

Kitty - so sorry to hear about BF's grandmother. She's so young. Will pray that everything works out for her. Stupid cancer!!!

DL55 - Hope your uncle is okay!!! Falls can be rough on older folks. Glad you are both healthy! We're more than happy to be stuck with you!!!!!

We're planning on dying eggs tonight. Gotta go boil up a big batch. That just means we're going to have lots of egg dishes on Easter.

We also watch parts of Jesus of Nazareth with the kids to put the day (weekend) into perspective. They also have a kids version in claymation of the story of Jesus which we taped off of ABC many years ago.

For Easter we're having my in-laws over for dinner - baked ham. My brother is having mom over and you know how my family is... they very rarely ask everyone over for dinner. We invite everyone here but they never return the favor.

Good morning ladies!

DL55...so scary about uncle! Gosh, men can be so stubborn. Hope he's okay!

D&D...I've been looking for some sort of religious movies/programming, but nothing so far. I love the old school dramas like the Robe and the Ten Commandments. Maybe today? It was near impossible to find a chocolate cross. Plenty of bunnies though.

When the weather was nice a few weeks ago I was having fun with the tri-color bubble with the automatic car wash. Turns out that scratched my car! So I went online and everyone suggested this stuff called Maguire's Scratch-X. I found the last bottle at Target! I'm kinda nervous to undertake this task (where's my nephew when I need him?!) but with the weather being so lovely, I'll try it. I hope I improve it rather than mess it up further....

Let's have a good day and a wonderful Holy weekend (again, if you observe)....

(oh I lied...Ten Commandments is on tonight. Yeah!)

Hello everyone.

I hope everyone has a great holiday tomorrow.

Found out last night my dad probably doesn;t have much longer. He's getting very bad and is ready to go. Kind of scared right now, but have to keep it together for Walter.

We had also found out about a week and a half ago that my mother in law has breast cancer. She had surgery Monday to remove it and they called yesterday and did not get it all like they had originally said.

Totally sucks.

OMG LITC....big hugs and prayers to you and your family right now. During this difficult time, spend it with loved ones. And for Walter, take lots of pictures of him, you, and your father. Cherish these moments. I'm so sorry you're going through things!

LITC, :grouphug: Honey, I'm so sorry. I agree with MK, take lots of pictures of all of you together. That is one the biggest things I regret about when my Gram passed away. Try to stay strong for Walter and if you need to just vent, cry, scream...whatever, you come and find us. We're always here for you.

LITC :grouphug: I think it's ok to cry in front of Walter. Just give him a big hug when you're through and it will probably make you fill better too. :flower3: Of course this is the place for venting. ;)

LITC:  I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and MIL. I agree about getting lots of pictures so you can share them with Walter when he is older.

LITC- sending much hugs and Pixie Dust your way. Hope everything gets better for you and I'm sending prayers your way.
