Wahh-waahh-waahh...that's just more for me! (rubbing hands together in glee....)

Ill eat almost any Easter candy. But you can keep the coconut ones. We forgot to get the Cadbury eggs (large) last year. Those and peeps don't make it to the after Easter sales. :sad1: Have to buy them at regular prices.:lmao:

It's been mostly sunny for the past week. DH even wore shorts a couple of days. :cool2:

I'm not a fan of Peeps or Cadbury eggs. We like the Reeses eggs and gummy stuff at our house. Also like raspberry filled chocolate eggs.

Was wondering if I saved some peeps for this summer, would they be good in a smore?:scratchin:

I've never heard of the raspberry-filled eggs. Is it jelly? Or gummy? How are they sold? If I ever make it to the pharmacy, I'll have to look for them.

Same concept as the Cadbury eggs only the filling is raspberry. Mmmm. Chocolate outside with creamy insdie. Some have more of a whipped filling, so they are a little lighter in taste. Made by Russell Stover. I find them at Walgreens

Thanks! I'll have to look for them.

There's a winter weather advisory out now. We're expecting 2-3 inches of snow. And freezing rain and sleet. Ugh. And we're under watch until tomorrow afternoon!

Weather is terrible here right now too. Rainy and very windy here all day and we are suppose to get heavier rain tonight. And it looks like the temps will drop here tomorrow night as well. That means we might get some of the dreaded s-stuff like you MK. Enough already.

DH is mad at me. He wanted to go down into his garage after dinner to tinker with his truck. Normally I have no problem with it but lately everytime he has done that, he'll go down for a few hours, come back up and then go to sleep. Between work and the truck, he never ever spends time with the kids. And I pointed that out to him and now he's mad and pouting. He probably won't talk to us for the rest of the night.

I take care of the house, helping the kids with their homework, cooking dinner, and even if I am on the computer, I still have to supervise the fighting between the girls. He claims he's always so tired except for when it comes to that darn truck. Honestly, sometimes I just want to push that darn truck off a cliff.

The street lights are out here. I still have power, but am charging everything up anyway. If it weren't so scary, it would be cool.

JOCA, you have a point. DH may not have to actively engage with the kids every minute of the day, but he needs to be present. For you and the family. Maybe he can pout and go downstairs but make some plans for tomorrow?

One of the roads right near our house was closed for what we think is downed lines or maybe a tree limb. It's been pretty scary out there. I have the cell phones charging and pulled out all the candles we have here.

I don't ever expect every moment when he is home to be spent with the kids. But today, he was suppose to be off. His boss called to see if everything was tied up tight on the roof and DH said yeah, but he would go up and check anyway. So he was gone 6 hours on his day off after putting in a full week. Being home by myself with the kids all the time wears me out too just the way work wears him out.

Aw, hugs, JOCA! When will the kids be heading to sleep? Sounds like you need a nice cup of tea and some quiet "me" time....

I just read there's a Peeps store in Washington DC. And that there are new chocolate covered Peeps. I haven't seen those yet. Looks like I"m generating an Easter candy shopping list!

Make it an ice cold beer and I'll be fine. He'll get over it and I'll get over and tomorrow will be fine.

I've heard about the chocolate covered peeps but haven't seen them yet. Haven't looked too closely either. I wish they would give out tours of the factory since it is right here. I think that kind of stuff is so interesting.

I would love to do some of the food factory tours. I remember driving up from DC thru Pa and seeing all these signs about the factories. M&N said that her pretzel factory doesn't give tours. Sadness. Although I would love some of these pretzels again.

Mmm...I don't do beer, but a lovely pina colada would be great right now...

Are they similar to the hearts that you get a Valentine's Day? If so those are very yummy! I got two hearts from DH for VDay.

I think the last factory tour I was on was the Anheuser-Busch factory in Busch Gardens. I must have been around 18 at the time.

I have been to the actual Crayola factory back in elementary school. That was cool to see. And my aunt use to work in a factory where they made movie slides. She use to babysit me sometimes after school when I was in 4th grade and would take me to work with her.

Its looking like my blender will be my "plus one" for the Hershey trip!

aww...Pikester, DH is a keeper!

I've never been on a factory tour. But at the Hallmark museum you can see how they make bows for gift wrap and get to keep one. It was really cool!

MK, BF hasn't agreed to join all of us in Hershey? Did you tell him about us and it scared him off? :rolleyes1

I don't know even know how to find what places still do tours. I'd love to do some too.

I got a card from DH for Valentine's Day. Woohoo!! :woohoo:

I wasn't expecting the hearts as we agreed no card exchange. We did go out to dinner but we had a GC to use so it's not like he took me out. Still worked though.

DH could care less if he ever gets anything for Birthdays, Christmas, etc. I on the other hand am a total Gift Hog and want whatever I can get.

BF is still holding out on the Hershey trip. I think I'm wearing him down though.

I will use any excuse to shop and will pick up little things for BF. He is incredibly clueless about shopping so essentially I have to either give him a list or spend his money if its for me. Either one is fine with me! Bookstore GC are his backup plan and are always a fave of mine....

Don't get the wrong idea....the card was great. We don't normally do gifts for each other. With 4 kids, gifts for each other kinda fall by the wayside. We have all that we need and though we'd like to get other wants, they are just wants. Priorities, you know.

MK, you keep wearing BF down. I know you can do it. :goodvibes
