Hi D&D! How was your day? I aired out the house and everything feels that more closer to spring.

I'm getting ready for the Oscars. With the best picture being expanded to 10 films, I actually saw a few this year! I'm looking forward to seeing Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. I really liked them in Its Complicated.

Being Catholic, my sister and I have joked about going to heaven and being reunited with all the pets since our youth. It would be like a herd of well loved pets

I only knew my more immediate family. I met this lady because we share a common, uncommonly-named relative, Jeanjaquet. She did all the work. She's really into it. I just benefit from her "hobby".

My day was good. No complaints. Not warm enough to air out the house yet, but hoping later this week it is. :thumbsup2

DS7 is outside riding his bike, making me nervous every time he leaves the driveway at the speed of light. :scared:

I'm praying as we speak.
Every time he (or DS11) go out I'm always telling them to be careful, ride on the side of the road, wear a helmet..blah, blah, blah. Then they roll their eyes and say "MOM, we know!!!"
But its my JOB to worry - right???

Of course you should worry! They're boys! They get into trouble walking down the hall.

Ah, the eye roll. Its a rite of passage. You wouldn't be a great parent if you didn't get that attitude.....

Hey all!!!! We are back from the movies. We all liked it except for DH who said it was weird. But then, what JD movie isn't.

MK, it really wasn't scary at all. The previews made it look much worse that it really was. We didn't see it in 3D but judging from where they would have use 3D from my guesses, we didn't miss much. There are a few spots where I jumped but I think that's because I was watching the movie so closely.

D&D, you mean we'll get 5 sets of rolling eyes on vacation?

Ooh, glad to hear it was good JOCA. The book in its own right is pretty weird, so I was just imagining how crazy it would be!

Pikester! Where did you get that??? That is so funny and I was NOT expecting to refresh my browser and get mooned! hee hee...

Actually, it looks more like you dropped something.....!

Good morning ladies...another gorgeous sunny day predicted here. So excited! The snowbanks have shrunk from five feet to three freet. woo-hoo!

I tried to watch the Oscars last night but I just couldn't get into it. I did find Steve and Alec moderately charming, but I guess the fact that most of the winners have been pretty much predetermined took away from it all. And I didn't like how they didn't have performances of the nominated songs. They did have some weird dance interpretation, which didn't really do it for me either. Didn't watch the coverage of the dresses, but I'm sure we'll be inundated with that stuff all day today anyway.

I do wish I had seen the Hurt Locker though. That's on my list.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

Gosh, going through the news this morning is tiring and sad. They found the body of that young girl who went missing last year, attributed to that man already detained. What a monster.

Another earthquake, this time in Turkey. Wendy, is your family ok? Its not near them, right?

In my town, a 2 year old was found wandering the street Friday night in his pajamas. Turns out his mother, a teenager herself, was so engrossed in playing a video game she didn't notice the missing toddler. They're been reunited but are pending investigation.

Gosh, fertility is wasted on the young.

Exciting for me, a chapel in Florence which is being restored discovered some previously lost mural paintings by the great painter Giotto, a personal fave of mine. Sadly it cannot be rescued due to the delicate nature of the medium. But at least it was seen and documented. Art history is just so amazing to me. Its like archealogy and history in one.

Gee MagiKitty you're our own little news source. :magnify: Unfortunately when ever someone goes missing I always assume the worst.:sad1:
Pikester I think that was my first mooning. :lmao:

Happy Spring...maybe not officially but it sure feels like it. I posted on fc that I was robbed over the weekend...my house just looked so different without the pi9les of snow out front. I have a smowman statue out front that was turned over too. I put him in the garage until next winter.

Kitty---did you ever see the Stan Lee show on SCI-FI about people who were trying to be a superhero? He had them do stuff to earn their character being made into a comic book. Not sure how fake it was but I saw 2 seasons of it and enjoyed it.

Hope all the sickies are better. Didn't see a post from LITC---hope things are ok there.

I just had to post this one for Pikester:

A Gas Funny

An elderly couple are attending a church service.

About halfway through, she writes a note and hands it to her husband.

It says, "I just let out a silent fart, what do you think I should do?"

He scribbles back, "Put a new battery in your hearing aid."

M&N...I watched one of those seasons, the one with Big Mama on it. Yes, it was campy, but thoroughly entertaining.

I ordered several of the omnibus (buses?) from Amazon yesteray. Then Amazon said it was a price glitch, but was honoring the original price. I had ordered two copies of the X-Men, one for BF, but the cancelled it to one. So I guess BF and I have to be nice and share.

You got me so scared by saying you were robbed! But then it was too funny about the snow. Come on, snow robber, come and get my snowbanks!

Hey DL...what's on DH's to-do list today? Does he want to pick up a new toilet seat for me at HD? I have one of those larger bowls, so they don't have any fun colored seats. So I have to settle for white then dress it up with a seat cover...which is a really weird concept if you think about it...

No one here tonight?

I've been busy---emailing a cousin back and forth, IMing a friend on fb, and trying to talk to Michele on fb. I cannot ahndle any more...I have all kinds of clicking and noises going on...

So JO, does Alice get a vote for me to go see? Don't know if I will get anyone to go with me though.
