Good morning ladies! Wet and slushy outside....grrr...I hope it cleans up a bit before I hit the road later today. Probably not...I hate driving in this stuff. Closer to the city, its supposed to turn to rain, so I'm mostly worried about driving back later tonight.

And I'm going to miss the ladies skate. Ack! I have to find the Olympics coverage on the Sirius...

I want to go to Disney too! I would go late September too...seriously, I may at least try to squeeze a loner weekend if BF persists on being a pooper-head and holding out on me. Three days of Disney and free dining is better than nothing! (oh, and a few days for Harry Potter...). Hmm...I guess I need to put pressure on BF to man up and take me to Orlando!

They are saying we might have another snowstorm on Thursday. Maybe 12 inches with very strong winds....enough to bring down the power lines. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take.

We used to go in late September all the time. Kids were young so wasn't too worried about taking them out of school. But they are super excited for this trip. Even DD14 who said after our Universal trip that she didn't even miss Disney. Makes me even more excited because she is excited.

JOCA...with kids I think its super duper special to have those kind of times with the kids. They grow up too fast and often too early decide they're moving on to other things. Are you and D&D vacationing together? Or jus meeting up? What are your plans? I think its going to be so cute having D&D's younger DS and your youngest together again...but watch out! We may all have a little love match in our midst!

This winter really has been brutal. I think the weatherman is just giving up. He's talking about THursday too and next week. Which is great coz I have to drive back down to the city to get rid of my Dad Monday night! (My family won't fly together....)

We are vacationing together. Not very many plans, a dinner and breakfast are planned together. And we've mapped out our park days for the most part. But other than that, I think we are just going to go with flow.

DD6 gets so embarrassed whenever D&D's DS is brought up. Whoa, that's a lot of D's. I think the kids are going to have a blast together. Don't even bring up love matches....just thinking about that makes my head hurt. Got my hands full with the oldest and boys.

We usually don't get snow this often here. The past few years have been ice storms so I guess this is better. But I am so ready for spring.

That is so wonderful that you guys are going together...it'll be so much fun for everyone and it'll be a change of pace. Like if the Moms want to catch a break....

Oh that's so cute when they're little like that. It scary when they've reached double digits...

I didn't push it too much, but I was talking about Hershey and BF seems to be a little more interested now. Its the scary treading part. I can't really get him to commit, but I do want to keep it on the table. He's been really good about putting up with my Olympics obsession and we do still have a few months. I told him the hotel is near the casino, and while I'm thinking about winnings, he's thinking about the buffet!

We usually get a lot of snow that stays but we've had a lot of ice which is really treacherous since I live in the mountains. My driveway alone can be an adventure! I see the stores are getting ready for Easter...all those lovely spring colors just make me yearn for warm weather...

Spring will come! It will!

Tell him to take you in Aug. with us. Tell him there will be 2 other very shy guys there who we are hoping to bring out of their shells by week's end. They might be interested in going to the casino buffet with him. Or they could go to Daytona together.

Morning ladies. Thought I would pop in and let you all know that I had not fell off the face of the earth just yet. Been busy. Just hit and run reading and not much posting. A short post here and there on FB and I did start a long post here yesterday but it got zapped and it ticked me off so I just gave up. I did manage to get my trip report finished a few days ago. Glad to have that done.

Guess I better go get back to gathering our tax info. I should be thoroughly depressed after that! I already know that our income went down by about half since 2008. Thus the possibility of no Disney trip in our immediate future.

Hey...it's good to have you check in. Taxes are not fun. I'm thankful I do not have to pay any. I do however have almost 200 more on my mortgage this month...hopefully they are just making up for the property tax increase and it will go back down.

Doesn't anyone go to Disney in the Spring? We like May or June. I guess I'll never meet any TKers at WDW.

We got a dusting of snow. Looks like powered sugar spread all over. (No shoveling either)

We still don't have DH's W-2. I wonder if we can tell the IRS to go over to the DOD and kick some butt?

ok ladies...the snow has stopped now but its supposed to start up again. And they increased the predicted totals to 5-8 more inches!

we're planning to leave around 4, although my mom's flight isn't until after midnight. Just going to take it slow and steady....

Its probably better that my family doesn't try travel together...I'm a far better on my own. But since I was little, we haven't flown together...there was some tragic story about an entire family in a crash and since then we're always beens separate. I don't know, its just a thing.

DL55...I went to WDW last May and it was gorgeous! And it was the Flower festival. But there was no free dining...and boy did I miss it!

You know, I'm deviously thinking if I can convince BF to head to Hershey and meet everyone (with a little casino thrown in to sweeten the deal) maybe we could squeeze a quickie trip to Disney later this year....hmmm.

Hi Marie! I know, finances are really depressing. Just have a little magic on the homefront everyday and enjoy the little things...
