I know Denny and Brad cannot stand each other. I'm sure we'll some good fireworks from both of them this year.

The announcers did say something funny on Sunday about Kyle being much more mature this year. That winning the Nationwide championship has made him grow up. And now he's a real threat to win the Cup championship. As much as I like Kyle, I do not picture him as being mature.

And while I'm at it.....I cannot stand Kurt Busch. I can't even listen to him being interviewed. It's like nails on a chalkboard listening to him.

It's getting way too late already. Kids have to go back to school tomorrow which means I have to get up early again.

Night!

Hope you don't get more snow...flurries maybe tomorrow but no accumulation!
Night....

Good morning ladies. Well, last night's snow was a bust. Got about an inch, but its been snowing steadily this morning and no one really knows what to make of it. Its that heavy wet snow that quickly gangs up on you, and makes the roads treacherous. Just don't know how much of it we're going to get.

Olympic coverage is mixing it up today. Men's hockey and curling on USA at noon?! I was just getting used to the 1pm on NBC. Olympic coverage on NBC here starts at 3pm: biathalon and speed skating. Its crazy!

M&N...did you know I actually watched parts of the race on Sunday? But whenever I turned it on, the race was stopped. Didn't make for exciting watching for me. But at least I understoon some of the track talk last night!

Did everyone make it back to school today? Its a mix-mix here. Some schools closed, others were open but will probably be dismissed early...

Happy Mardi Gras!

Let's have a great day everyone! Team USA!

Good morning!

Not much going on here this morning or this afternoon or this evening. Tomorrow is when all the action will be happening. DH and I are taking the kids to Fun Spot. We'll have brunch then do arcade games, skeeball, bowling and then get sundaes for a treat. Should be a good time!

I hope everyone is having a good day so far and that it continues.

Good morning: The sun is peeking out! We've had flurries now and then but nothing else. So I can go out to dinner tonight. We had to cancel from last week.
You must have caught the pot hole problems Kitty. It was strange. I said just to put a cone there and let them race! :rotfl:
Sounds like the fun is to come Pikester. I had fun doing my downhill and snowball fights this am on my Wii. I didn't do the ski jumping though. I just got to the 3rd level with snowball fights and they throw big snowmen heads! That's wild.
Tomorrow would be my Dad's 80th bday. Friday would be their 60th anniversary. I cannot believe he'll be gone 20 years in April. Time does go on.

Just read the Percy Jackson movie thread. The kids were disappointed in the movie. I said I was glad the book won! Keep Reading!

I just went outside and could not believe how bad it got since I was out earlier. This storm has just been so unpredictable.

I really like the Percy books. I'd still like to see the movie though.

M&N...it is really amazing how fast time goes by. But your Dad is with you always and is your own personal angel.

Hope you are staying put Kitty. That road looks bad. I hate it when it starts laying. I always think it is a lot worse then. That's when I slide...even with Patrick.

Mom and I were talking over the weekend how we didn't think dad could handle things like driving now. He liked things a lot slower. I am sure glad he did not have to go through the memory loss like his sibblings. I am thankful I do not have many suffering memories of him. God was good.

Morning! It's snowing here but we are not suppose to get more than 2 inches. But this afternoon, the winds are suppose to kick up....gusts over 40mph.

The kids all had school today but DD6 is home. She's got a terrible chest cold. She didn't want to eat dinner last night and fell asleep around 8:30. For her, that's odd since she is my little night owl.

MK, if you have to go out anywhere today, make sure you are careful.

M&N,

Happy Fat Tuesday & Mardi Gras!!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying paczkis (polish doughnuts) today. My grandmother used to make these every year so it has become a tradition at my house. Unfortunately, I can't make them. So I stopped at the corner bakery to buy some to share at school. YUM!!!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Yeah, I don't understand why the plows and sanders aren't out yet. Usually they're excellent at it. The schools haven't been declared yet, but by the looks of it, I'm fairly sure that they'll be let out after lunch...

You are really lucky to have had such good memories with your Dad. When my Dad was in renal failure and going thru dialysis, it was such a dark time for all of us. He was so depressed and frustrated, we were all being tested as potential donors, and it was so stressful. I remember driving Dad to dialysis and just crying in the parking lot after dropping him off coz it was just so hard. Thankfully, Dad did get his kidney transplant and we've been blessed ever since. But it still brings a lump in my throat.

M&N - This week is bitter sweet but as Kitty said, he's your angel now. :littleangel: Take care!

Anyone watch Dr. Oz? He had his 100th show today with 100 people who lost 100+ pounds. I missed the first half but it was very good. He showed stomach fat---yuck! Also showed a knee hurt by overweight. Richard Simmons was also on...he's still sweatin'!

It's called Fastnacht Day around here. They do not make them like they used to though. Supposed to be using up their lard before Lent. Now I think they taste more like donuts. I also saw them on tv making them but they made holes in them like donuts. Real ones do not have holes.

How old is Richard Simmons? I remember when he had an aerobics tv show, and that was the early 80s!

We don't have any Mardi Gras baked treats around here. I feel so deprived.

Found Olympics online live. Can't decide which curling to watch. Settled on Norway vs. Canada. Cute boys in ugly pants. Story of my life...:lmao:

The last thrower for Canada is so cute!

I think you are to be watching the stone thing Kitty! ;)

Yeah, yeah I know...but they're leaning down, bending over...I can't decide which team to root for! Tomas from Norway, or Morris from Canada. I'm in love!
