It's starting to snow a little bit harder here. I'm waiting for DH to call from Philly. He's at the office right now and waiting for the owner of the company to make the call if they have to go out and shovel.

We've been snowing steadily since late last night, but the worst is supposed to be this afternoon. Ugh.

I was afraid of this....the joy of DirecTv. Lost my signal. Probably because my dish is covered in snow! I've been trying to convince them that placing the dish on my roof was not a good idea. They keep saying its the best place to receive signal, but what good is it if its covered in snow and I can't get to it????

FB question---Since they changed things I'm mixed up again! The notifications has a number for you to see there are new posts. I used to check this and then close the list...now there's no close spot. Also, when I checked the notices, they would disappear...now they don't. I got back on FB and the same ones were there. How do I get rid of them? I only want the ones I haven't checked...

I hate the new facebook. I keep forgetting that I have to click in new places to get to where I want.

As for the notification box at the top, after I open it and read what's there, I just click anywhere on the page and it closes for me. As for the older ones there, I don't know how to get rid of them.

Our weatherman is going crazy...singing: snow on the ground, snow on the ground, it's blizzard conditions with snow on the ground!

It's blowing so much I don't see how they can say how much snow but my yardstick is at 16.

The snow is coming down like crazy here. DH is slowly making his way home from Philly. It's been over 2 hours since he left and I do not want to call him while he's driving. So, I guess I'll just sit and wait.

The kids are driving me insane. I didn't realize how great that couple of hours of silence I get when they are all in school. I sure realize it now.

whgrn I am so disappointed that you won't be able to come to the meet. I knew there was someone who couldn't go if they had any more snow days. The dog collar reminded me of the commercial where the dog puts the collar on the man. Then barks so he can get what ever food they were trying to sell.

I hope everyone is safe and cozy in their homes.
DH's back is better but now he has a cold. He went to play golf anyway.

Well, DH is home. They've started to shut down the highways here by order of the governor. I can't remember the last time that happened.

I wonder if the kids will even have school tomorrow. If they don't, they won't go back until Tuesday because of President's Day weekend.

JOCA, I'm so glad that DH got home safely. At least you have a teammate to keep the kids under control.

There was a lull in the storm about an hour ago but now its getting ugly out there. Almost a whiteout. People still on the roads, but looks like the hurry to get home and out of this mess....its supposed to keep on until late tonight.

Keep safe everyone (even DL'5s DH out there golfing!).

JO--Glad he's home. I heard the major roads were closed too. It is crazy out there. I have channel 43 on and they have reporters out at a WAWA talking to people out and another in York outside Maple Donuts! Now, guess what I want?

It's still coming down. They said another 2-5 is possible. My yardstick has it up to 20. I hope I can find out how much we really get. They don't always say for my town and they way this is, there are differences for just 5 miles away.

There's no way there's school tomorrow. They said the back roads may take until Friday to get to.

I should have worked on some piles today but I am like a kid looking out at the whiteness. I did finish a Left Behind book today. My aunt gave me the series and she wants them back...I don't think we'll see her until the fall though.

Mom's mad. She wants to see Dr Phil. She's tired of seeing all the snow coverage.

M&N...tell Mom I love the Dr. Phil family on Mondays. they are such a train wreck and I just feel so bad for the littlest ones. The girls are mean and embittered and are just making worse and worse choices. I can't help watching. I attended at taping years ago and they were the topic. I nearly jumped out of my seat with glee.

Apparently, its rather easy to get into the Dr. Phil audience. My friend worked on the Paramount lot, and some days, she got drafted to fill seats during the taping.

Still lots of snow coverage here too. I'm just glad my DirecTv came back (which shocked me!)

We still haven't lost tv. Not that we are watching tv since the kids are playing Wii.

They closed one of the school districts here for tomorrow already.

We don't watch Dr. Phil but DH will watch Maury.

I watched Maury too! The studio is TINY! But the staff is really nice. They provided pizza and drinks. Maury himself was really nice and engaging with the audience. And you know what the topic was....

"Who's your Daddy?!"

Priceless!

I want to get tix to see the View. And, of course, Oprah. But those are super-hard to get.....

Ok, dug around the freezer. Baking fish fillets and warming tortillas for fish tacos. Spying a questionable head of lettuce in the fridge. Steaming broccoli and corn tamales. Have mango salsa and tortilla chips. So freakin yummy I can't wait!

Oh, and frozen strawberries and yougurt will make a lovely strawberry smoothie. Maybe I should dress in beach resort casual for full effect. Just need a tiny umbrella and a pool boy and I'll be all set...
