If/when we get some decent weather, I'm going to ride up to Grantville and check it out for you. It might be until June that I get there though! I just wish the snow would get here and be over!

Well, I am NOT a happy camper. With a foot or more forecast for tonite and tomorrow, school for tomorrow has already been cancelled, and it's likely to be closed Thursday as well.

Which means our Hershey trip plans are toast. Best case scenario right now, the last day of school will be Wednesday the 23rd. But if we do close Thursday, or ANY other day this winter (and let's face it, it WILL happen), then our last day would be Thursday the 24th.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bummed! Damn sn*w! Damn winter!

I thought about that today, Wendy, while watching the snow coverage. I so wish you guys could join us!

So I got my little Vado recorder and its quite possibly the cutest thing ever. Its approximately the size of a cell phone, only lighter. I like how the cover is a little rubbery-feeling, so I don't feel like I'll drop it anytime soon. It has a little notch for a wrist strap, which makes it even easier to carry it around. With HD, I get about an hour of recording, which isn't great, but it is small enough to carry with me and catch those weird little moments.

So, DH calls me this afternoon to tell me that he's working tomorrow. Apparently, his boss wants him to drive around to a couple of the buildings they have worked on and shovel the snow off. Yes, he wants him to do this during the blizzard. He's an idiot!!

Aww, Wendy, that just sucks. I so wanted to see you again and meet your kids. I'm telling you, M&N and I are going to kidnap that darn groundhog next year.

MK, are you bringing your little camcorder to Hershey?

The little recorder will be coming to Hershey. I am now plotting evil Hello Kitty's all over him at the moment...I ordered a little tripod too.

At least up here, the snow isn't supposed to end tomorrow evening...shovelling is just futile until its over. I understand that there's a risk of collapse under all the snow, but its not worth it to risk DH's health by going around in a BLIZZARD. Blizzard conditions means stay home and warm. Period.

I got a Body Bugg (one of those armband thingys that measures your heart rate, steps, calories burned, etc.) My trainer told me to bring it in today, so on Friday I grabbed the box and stuck it in my car so I wouldn't forget. I got to the gym this morning and was all excited to tell her I'd brought it. I pulled it out of my bag and handed to her. She looked at it sort of strangely, and then said...

"Um, Wendy...this is your dog's bark collar!"



Apparently, it's the latest innovation in personal training. They put a collar on you and if you don't work hard enough, you get zapped!

I HATE SNOW! Bummer Wendy...maybe you can talk the kids out of the last day of school...it's nothing, just hot! Tell them how cool Hershey is and the water park is so cool. Bribe them with chocolate!

I took the yardstick out and it was 2 inches about an hour ago...no school here either. I'm supposed to sub on Thurs so I guess I can kiss that money goodbye! I'm getting a refund on income tax so I can't complain too much.

BF thinks Hello Kitty is evil. He says that anything cutesy that make grown women act like little girls like that must be evil. He's also embarrassed to ride in my Temple of the Kitty car. Tough bunnies for him.

the snow is supposed to start here after midnight...its kinda exciting to see if it'll be as bad as everyone fears. Everyone just hunker down and enjoy some downtime!

It started here a little less than an hour ago. within 15 minutes everything was covered. It's coming down hard. I took DSis over to the mall to get a Body Bugg type thing (she's jealous of mine!) and the place was clearing out fast.

MK, the only similarity is that they were both in boxes, and both boxes were in the same basket. The Body Bugg box is about 1/2 the size of the dog collar box!

M&N, we can't miss the last day, because DD graduates that day! Otherwise I'd say to heck with it and they'd miss it.
