I'd like to say we'll be there earlier on Wednesday but I know it will never happen. I think that's why we never fly anywhere....we'd be late and miss the plane. :rotfl:

There will be plenty of time to figure out the finer points...
I just suggest if you are doing the double decker bus tour of Gettysburg, you get there first and get signed up. I do believe it's first come, first seated too---so if you want an upstairs seat...it's fun up there! I have (if I look again) a cd car tour too anyone can borrow.

I'm ready for some racing...I want to start making my picks...

Only 17 more days until Daytona. Even though the off-season isn't that long, it has felt like forever.

I guess I am more excited this year because after thye boring last year, they have taken the restrictions off bump drafting and being too nice! :lmao:

Working today.

Morning ladies! Its a winter wonderland once again out there....we've had lots of ice in recent weeks, but today it is full on snowing. We've already gotten about three inches in as many hours! The stupid weather reports keep talking about snow coming tonight...don't they have eyes? Or how about live internet reports? Its snowing NOW!

Thanks for the advice about Gettysburg, M&N.. Now I'm totally befuddled about what to do! Just more research, I guess....

Hope everyone is safe and staying warm! Let's have a good day!

MK, we woke up to the surprise snow too. The most they had said on our weather forecast was a chance of a snow shower. And since no one was prepared, the street in front of our house was a slippery mess when the school buses had to come. DD6 & 8's bus didn't even get here until after school started.

Morning all!

Sooooo windy and cold (-15 windchill)

I've got parent-teacher conferences at work today.

Bought some more seeds for the garden. I'm going to grow tomatoes, cukes, baby spinach, mini carrots, green onions and green beans this year. Just can wait to get started.

Stay warm everyone!

Just rain for us, but most of the state is getting snow. DH is out working on the deck...he's nuts.
We are thinking June 22 -25. Is there enough to do at Hersey Park for 2 days? Are most still staying at the same motel?
Now that the gloves are off we may watch more racing. :drive:

There's quite a bit to do at Hershey for 2 days. Wish we would have done another day. Kids wanted to do water park. Maybe next time.

:banana:on the race watching.

We'll convert you yet. :thumbsup2

We used to watch occasionally but I like to see variety. You know, cars passing each other. The past few times I didn't notice much. We do go to the local track every so often. DH does have an opinion on Dale Earnhardt Jr. It's best I don't root for someone as they usually lose. :headache:

Last year at the meet, Nephew and I did two days at Hershey. Up to that point, he had never been tall enough to ride, so I let him go nuts on his own. Maybe I was a less than responsible Aunt, but the kid wanted to go and this was his chance. He must have rode 50 times. We were supposed to leave by 1pm, but he was having such a ball we stayed until 4!

For me, second day was to watch the shows and enjoy the park. They had some beautiful foliage out! I also went to Zoo America, which is included in your admission. It was wonderful! I ran into some of the zoo workers and I learned a lot about wolves and owls. It was a lovely morning, so there is more than enough to do for two days.

(of course, there are outlets right nearby too....)

Still snowing here....all the news it talking about is the EXPECTED storm this evening. Whaaaattt????

Are you doing the caverns again Kitty? I just loved that. There's the new museum I haven't been to in Hershey yet. I've never gone to the Antique auto museum either but I just like the new, fast ones with an 88 on the side!

No snow here today...I guess some is coming this weekend---unless they changed that too!

I think me, Wendy, Jo and Magi are all booked at the MainStay Suites in Grantsville, PA. I know me and Jo are but I can't remember if the other two booked yet. Here is the link if you want to see it http://www.mainstaysuites.com/hotel-grantville-pennsylvania-PA547

I'm booked at the Mainstay too...

M&N...I would love to do the caverns again. and I'd be up for the museum too! I truly am open to doing/seeing everything. I can't beleive how culturally rich your area is.

How long do you thing Gettysburg takes? Is it an entire day thing? Or just a few hours? I'm trying to fit in as much as possible...

And yes, it is still snowing....

I finished the fifth book of the Percy Jackson series last night. It was so good! I hope to see the movie, although from the commercial, Percy does not look 12 y/o like he's supposed to be in the first book!

(my bad, the movie IS the fifth book...so he looks like the 16 y/o he's supposed to be)

I just read that JD Salinger died.

Isn't that an oxymoron????? I think those 88 cars belong in the Antique Auto Museum though some of them might even be faster. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

DL55, Hershey really is a 2 day park even without the waterpark. There are plenty of shows along with the Zoo which is always fun. And even though we've been plenty of times, I still like to take my time and just enjoy it. And do share DH's opinion of Jr.

D&D, we are getting that weather by tomorrow. I'm dreading it already.

MK, the caverns were only a couple of hours last time, right? I'm trying to figure out what we should do Friday before we head home.

OK Jo...You don't have the last laugh. I read that HMS is giving Jr all the best equipment this year to make sure he wins! (like they weren't giving him the best last year? Thought all were treated alike?)
Anyway, Jr is going to be more concerned with Danica than his own team...
