I don't think so. I just hear Forever Young and think of Rod Stewart. As unpopular as it may be, he's one of my favorites. :goodvibes

I like Rod Stewart. Especially his older stuff. And I like "Lost in You". Great. Now I have "Infatuation" in my head.,,

I just looked up "forever young" on wikipedia. It was released in 1984! I am so old!

Well, I definitely have to do some reading before I go to bed. Night all. See you in the morning!

My mom is a big Rod Stewart fan and she passed it along. And now I have Do You Think I'm Sexy going through my head. :rotfl:

I don't think I've heard the one by Alphaville. I'll have to look it up.

And to go along with liking Stewart, I also like David Bowie. :rolleyes1

Before I hit the hay, just want to put out a possible name for our new thread before I forget.

Absolutely love it!! Thought I would check in before I hit the hay as well.

sorry i fell asleep.. took a little nap.. heh.. thats what i get for laying down on a memory foam bed..

Good morning ladies! I can't believe it...it was flurrying earlier. I went out to get the newspaper and ACK! Little white flakes everywhere. It didn't last very long, but long enough to send horror through me.

ooh, JO you were on fire last night! I like the possible new title...we'll have to put it out there and get more feedback from others as they check in. And I LUV Bowie too. Particularly Young Americans, Modern Love and Let's Dance. When DTWS used it for their promos, I was listening to Bowie incessantly there for a while....

Gosh, we had some fantastic music in our youth. Listening to XM 80's on 8 always makes driving a bit more fun.

Let's have a good day everyone! Amazing Race tonight! Go Cowboys!

I finishe the third KK book last week. It was great! Totally prepping for another one. Its scared me too! Also made me miss EPCOT.

Mornin' everyone. Sorry to hear about everyone's cold weather yesterday. It was warm here, but today it is cold in the low 60's but the wind is making it seem colder.

So I need to vent. I am venting at the risk of sounding like one of those "My baby never does wrong" parents.

Yesterday was Nicks last home college game...Can you believe it??? I got a bit upset at the coach at the dinner (but kept my cool and just sat there quietly).

There was a Sr. Dinner after the game and the coach talked a bit about each player, mostly sharing extremely inappropriate, but funny stories. Now to fully understand this story, you need to understand that the coach is a bit...ummmm...let's say "brash. So he gets to Nick and is talking about how proud he was of Nick and how worried he was about Nick to start (that was a bit embarrassing since he didn't tell the crowd he was referring to grades...at least I didn't hear it) He then spoke of one kid he felt he never "reached" and one day he had a meeting with the boy and he was killed that evening (That was about 7 years ago...it was all over the news here). The coach proceeded to cry a bit...while poor Nick stood up there...Then went on to say how he felt he finally reached Nick after lots of time spent in the Coaches office, arguing etc...

Anyway, I digress...it made it sound like Nick was some hood that needed "saving" when really all that was ever going on was a dangerously low GPA (3.33 now though).

Maybe I was just being over sensitive. Nick says I must not have heard him when he said "Nicks grades" in the beginning. all I know is you could have heard a pin drop in the room while the coach stood there and cried...It was just uncomfortable...hard to explain.

Funny thing is, I do give full credit to the coach for Nicks change in grades. He did work the heck out of Nick, but he made it sound bad last night....My DH and Nick say I misunderstood...but that is kind of my point. The other parents probably did too, and they don't even know Nick....

Anyway, this morning I feel much better. We did talk to the coach after the dinner and he seemed more "normal" again and said how proud he was of Nicks grades etc...

Hey there Pepper! And congrats to Nick for having a good season and getting those grades up! I totally get where you're coming from. What the coach was saying, while well intended, came out fuzzy and could be misinterpreted. Especially those unfamiliar with Nick and his personal story. I'm glad you're feeling better about it though and that Nick still enjoyed his evening.

Afternoon all:

Just waiting for the race to start...I can't believe D&D. M&N and JO have me watching NASCAR. Picked Jimmie today so they'll be happy...every time I pick him he loses. The sun is shining here but it is still cold, but a least it's not snowing anymore, sent that on to MK!!

well well well a fellow orangemen! lol... yeah i know getting all that extra snow from lake oneida and onadoga lake too.. lake effect snow.. no one knows what that is here...

I live on the shore of Lake Huron...very familiar with lake effect...the snow falls sideways around here.

Before I hit the hay, just want to put out a possible name for our new thread before I forget.

That is exactly what I was trying to say. You put it so much better than I did. Nick did enjoy his evening and despite that one little hiccup, so did I. The team is a great bunch of boys and they are all top notch in the manners dept.

Sometimes counting down is the best part!! I love the excitement before a Disney trip.

Awww, you have been looking forward to that. If it is any consolation, there is an new Hilary Duff movie on tonight on the family channel (me and DD love the Duff ha ha ha) :rotfl:

Do I even know where the Family channel is? I have to tweak my tv schedule tonight. At least Breaking Bad is still on. I may play catch up with Grey's Anatomy on the Wii...I love that Owen. He's so hunky.

Hi Walter! Enjoy your time with Mommy!
