I think they're both super talented guitarists. And I like lots of their songs. I most enjoy Santana's collaborations and they haven't made annoucements of guests. So I'd have to go with John Mayer. I have every album and can pretty much sing his entire songbook.

The time I saw him was right after his first album came out. He was actually the opening act for Maroon 5. He has a really simple show that just showcased his talent, and I liked that.

That's not to say I don't enjoy big flashy concerts also. I just love music and getting to see it live really is one of my indulgences.

Welcome Back DL55!!!! How was your trip? Do you got any pictures?

Wendy, You better keep us all informed. You know we worry.

MK, I would just would just go see both. :rolleyes1

JO! You are such a bad influence! I'm almost sold on the John Mayer concert right now. About 98%. Tickets don't go on sale until next week, so unless something changes, I'll be getting my tickets then.

Hello everybody, I'm back. :)
Just finished up the old thread.
Congrats to lilmiss on her new job. :thumbsup2

When I opened this new thread and saw I had 62 pages I just had to skip ahead to just say Hi.

Welcome back DL55!!! We missed you! Was wondering about you last night. Hope you had a great time!!!! We'll be waiting for pics and details.

Well, I got the results of my kidney tests. It is not as great as I had expected. My Creatinine Clearance (can you explain this one Kitty?) is delayed--either 20% or 20 points, I forget which, but it's signifcant enough to warrant concern. And the ultrasound was basically ok, but my kidneys are smaller than normal. So now I have to go see a kidney specialist. The one my doctor recommended, who is supposedly excellent, has nothing available until July 19 (which I quickly accepted, and they also put me on the waiiting list for anything earlier). But I can also go see my Dad's doctor, probably alot sooner. So I am going to call and see what they can give me, and if it's way sooner, I'll go to him instead.
On top of all this, I saw the cardiologist yesterday and he wants me to have an echo and a thallium stress test. Oh JOY!!
Getting old just totally sucks...
 I hope everything is okay and that you can get in to that doc as soon as possible. As JO said, you know how we worry, so please keep us up to date.

What's wrong with our TKers lately??? Everyone seems to be falling apart? See what you started Bopsmom??

Glad the surgery went well.

I keep forgetting! Hey DL55! Glad to have you back! How was the cruise? Did you meet amazing people? Were they as fabulous as us? How was the weather? The food? The ports? The enterainment? I want to know everything! I missed you!

Wendy, what is going on, girl? Crea is a measure of kidney function. Your kidney filters substances in your blood. So if your blood has a higher than expected value for crea, it means your kidney isn't doing its job properly. Its kinda like the strainer in your sink. The water is supposed to go down. If there's gunk in the strainer (the kidney) the water level goes up (the crea).

How's your BP? Are you on any meds?

I don't know what's going on, but it does worry me. I got an appointment with my Dad's doctor for 2 weeks from now. My BP is usually around 100/60, sometimes lower. I'm on a bunch of meds, but none for BP. Now my doctor took me off anti-inflammatories and put me on a pain med for arthritis, but reading about it scared the pants off me! Plus it can interact wiith Prozac, which I take. So the pharmacist is calling the doc to make sure I should actually take this stuff. I just knew it sounded too good to be true!

Welcome back DL55!! Can't wait to hear all about your cruise. I bet it was better than mine!:lmao:

Evening all, don;t know if I will be around much tonight, we might have an errand to go take care of, we are still deciding our time frame. Trying to catch up here, going to post a little at a time so I can get through.

Hey Ev! What's going on tonight.

LITC, you are right! Walter is the tker big brother now.

Sorry about your friend. That's just so young.

I feel so bad for her family - not to mention the baby who will never know him.

M&N, glad to know that she's got some good function going. Hopefully the vision will return to normal. Is the blackness in both eyes or just one?

LITC, so sorry to hear about your friend. I noticed in our obituaries this week that a 21 year old and a 26 year old were listed. Very unusual. I always wish they'd tell you why the person died, especially when they are so very young.

Walter is the cutest baby! And those little teeth!:love: He'll be a great TK big brother!

Pike, hope your snow has stopped. It was cold and very windy here today. Supposed to warm up some starting tomorrow, and be in the 80s by the weekend. Bye bye Uggs, hello flip flops!

I know I wonder if they did put the cause, maybe it would compel people to donate to a cause or something??

Walter will be a great big brother, and it can be practice for sometime in the future (but don't go gettin' any crazy ideas anyone...:lmao: )

M&N, hope your friend's vision clears up soon and they find what caused the problem.

LITC, that is terrible about your brother's friend. Horrible when they are so young but even worse when they leave little ones behind. :sad2:
I just noticed in your ticker today that Walter is almost 8 months old. My goodness that doesn't seem possible!

It's been windy here today too ladies. Silly me I got out and tried spray painting a trellis that has been waiting to be put together for 3 years. I may have ended up with more paint on me than I actually got on it. :rolleyes1

Thanks Marie, and trust me it doesn't feel like it could be almost 8 months here either!

Hey guys,
Thought I'd pop in for a second and say 'hi':wave2:

I will go back to the bench later.

Busy here today. I went to the doctor. Well, it seems that not only did I have kidney stones I also have shingles. Both @ the same time. I did have burns from the treatment but the rest of the sores still on my back and the continued burning pain is from the shingles.

So, it's another round of doctors and try to get this under control. :confused3

So sorry to hear that, hope you are better soon.

How come sharp chedder is so....sharp?

DH likes sharp cheddar, I wont say what I think it tastes like. Can't run the risk of that darn tag fairy popping by........

Spent another day field tripping with Matt's class...nothing better than a bus full of ten year olds!! We learned all about types of energy in the a.m. and rocks & minerals after lunch. I'm feeling real smart now! ;)

No, they will just make the class sizes even bigger. When we left, DD6 had 26 kids in her Kinder class. DD8 had 27 or 28. All the middle schools will be losing their reading assistance teachers for the 6th grade.

We have hard caps on our class sizes...under grade 3 can not have more than 20 kids in the class...the number then increases through the older grades...which is great except in order to fit everyone in they end up with split classes...when Kate was in Junior kindergarten there were 44 kids...so they made 2 full classes and took the 4 oldest (Kate being one) and put them in an senior kindergarten class...she ended up being fine. She would have probably been bored with the younger kids. Now that she is in French all her classes will be splits.

Evening ladies. Brutally windy out there tonight and the temps are just ridiculous for late April! Really cold, but what can I do?

M&N...so sad to hear about your friend, but glad that the stroke wasn't devastating. Prayers go out to her for a speedy recovery.

When my father was really sick, it really affected my outlook on life. I completely live life to the fullest (and often silliest) I can. I want to enjoy everything!

Oh geez, Hol, sorry about the stones and the shingles! Sounds like you're doing landscaping! But you have a diagnosis and I hope you're not nearly as painful as I've heard it is...

Still no Chi-Chi. Saw my neighbour today and he hasn't seen her either. He didn't question my insane calling for her at all hours...

Bought some sangria tonight. Plan to cut up the fruit tomorrow and let is seep. I'm not responsible for whatever ensues.

My dad had his first heart attack at 53 his sister died of one at 51...so it really makes you think. DH will be 51 on his next birthday...oh and pour me one of those sangrias...love the stuff!

I'm an adorable drunk. I'm really flirty and I wander.

But do you come back?? :lmao:

Puppy is ok. He has an iron stomach. He just loves to eat whatever he cand "find". He once ate an entire tray of brownies and left the tin on the counter completely clean! He's a bit lactose intolerant, but he loves to snag a bit of pizza now and then. I'm probably a bad mother for it, but he's so happy I can't deny him very much.

Let's have a great day everyone!

My dog's like that...eats everything and never gets sick...once managed to down 8 homemade buttertarts...I'd spent an hour making even the pastry...he's lucky I didn't kill him!

Just had to post the link to Gina's Twins thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2454005&page=2

I just love it when a thread confuses the heck out of everyone. It's like playing with minds. (insert Pike's evil simlie here) Anyone else want to post???:rotfl::rotfl:

They are all NUTS!! They spent pages discussing if the topic was worth discussing..:confused3

Hello everybody, I'm back. :)

this could be fun. :rotfl2:

Maire - love your joke/email. :thumbsup2

Whgrn - Hope Duke feels better soon.

Hey Pepper! Nice to see you on more often.

LITC, M&N & JO - I know what you mean about savoring every moment of life. It really is too short and precious to waste.

I see we had some track smack going on last night. Ahhh...I missed that. :cloud9:

I see my ticker is gone again. :confused3 What's up with this????

Got another busy weekend ahead. Our school has its spring PTO Rummage Sale and I not only have to work it, but I am donating some stuff which I have to get priced by Friday. On Sun. my niece turns 2 so we're going over for her b-day party.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation week, so I'm busy arranging gifts and lunch for our teachers. Then of course we have Mother's Day next weekend. :faint: And somewhere in here I have to get my garden planted.
We only have about 6 more weeks of school too.:woohoo:
Summer is great but sometimes can get way too busy!!!

Have a good day all.

Hi d&d my nephew turns 4 this sunday!!

DD has that one too!

I know, right? I have felt "off" since I found out I can only imagine how bad her family feels.

Just wanted to let you know I was thinking about your friend today.

Bless your heart! I had hives most of the week, so I can't imagine how the shingles must have felt. Then on top of a Kidney Stone? You just need a hug...

How come sharp chedder is so....sharp?

Duh it is so you can "cut the cheese" don't you know nuttin'? :confused3

Hey Pepper! Nice to see you on more often.

l.

Thank you! I am starting to feel more like "me" again. :)

JO...I'm bringing my little video camera AND my blender. I really have to learn how to make something other than smoothies. Anyone have a good margarita recipe?

D...I saw that announcement. The official pout of the Kitty is on....I want to go to free dining during Food and Wine festival!

ME TOO!!! Me and DD are considering doing a Mother Daughter trip. It is clear DH is not going to go...so we will have to leave his silly ol' self home...or send him and DS to Atlanta to hang out with the Braves. :cutie:(no one ever uses this poor character)
