Me?? It was 81 and sunny/breezy. But it's been cool (not like ya'll) but cool for us.

I just wanted to say goodnight. I gotta go get a dress tomorrow-yuck. DD's Confirmation is Sunday. The only bright spot might be it will be a dress in a smaller size. I've lost about 13 pounds since Good Friday-not in a good way but, I'll take it.

Howdy gang.

Why, you may well ask, is this crazy woman up at 5 am? Well, my poor Duke has had a major case of the poops for the past few days, and he was waking me up every hour or so to go out. I finally gave up on trying to sleep. To tell you the truth, I'm in pretty much the same shape he is in, so between letting him out and running to the bathroom, it was pretty hopeless. I will be completely useless in the morning. Unfortunately, DS has been up a good bit of the night too, and he's got standardized testing all this week. Not a good combo...

Busy here today. I went to the doctor. Well, it seems that not only did I have kidney stones I also have shingles. Both @ the same time. I did have burns from the treatment but the rest of the sores still on my back and the continued burning pain is from the shingles.

So, it's another round of doctors and try to get this under control.

Oh, that is just the pits! I can't imagine having to deal with both of them at the same time. Hope you're feeling better SOON!

I agree with that philosophy about life. It is short...we do not have control over that...enjoy every day. My father died 20 years ago at the age of 60. I often think of how hard he worked his entire life...until he could not walk anymore and he could not enjoy his retirement. That's one reason I retired as soon as I was able. I may get poorer but I am not dedicating my life to a job. I am able to help friends out and mmore importantly be there for my mom.

Sounds like a wise philosophy to me!

oh, and I came home to a very quiet dog. Seems he ate 10 human biscuits that I had made this morning. I hope he enjoyed them at least.

I hope he doesn't end up with Duke's problem!

Looks like a few early birds are up this morning. I must be going through one of those phases when I wake up before dawn. Wide awake yesterday at 4 and couldn't go back to sleep. When I finally did my DD woke me up at 6:30. This morning I woke up at 6. Just decided the heck with it so rather than toss and turn here I am.

Poor Duke and poor Wendy. Hope you both feel better today. If Kitty's big old puppy doesn't lay off the biscuits he may be joining you!

Kids are at school and I should be doing chores but instead I'm on here. I got a call to sub today but I turned it down. I just can't seem to get back into a schedule. Bad me!

The weather here in Western NH is looking up! Upper 40s-50s today, tomorrow 60s-70s and Saturday is 70s-80s.

Pikester...what are we NOT doing today? Did you see Rebels last night on History? I've managed to stay away from the History quiz for 24 hours. But its been difficult.

Puppy is ok. He has an iron stomach. He just loves to eat whatever he cand "find". He once ate an entire tray of brownies and left the tin on the counter completely clean! He's a bit lactose intolerant, but he loves to snag a bit of pizza now and then. I'm probably a bad mother for it, but he's so happy I can't deny him very much.

Good morning, Kitty. I bet you are a cute drunk!

Wonder what makes some puppies have an iron stomach? Our dog can practically smell a crumb and be heading to the door to puke. Having kids doesn't make it easy on her. Emma tries to be careful but you always know when she dropped something that the dog should have left alone. I can't imagine what an entire pan of biscuits would have done to her.

For my puppy, he was a rescue from a college campus area. And he loves men. From what we gathered, he was a fraternity pet who was left behind when classes let out for the summer. He can eat anything and will try it too. Its just a matter of trust for him.

He does have a sensitive stomach if someone raises their voice at him. If I get angry with something he's done, he gives me the big eyed look and chokes a little. Other than that, he eats everything!

I did not get the drinking gene like the rest of my siblings. One drink and I'm pretty much set. Kinda sad but I'm a cheap date that way!

So naturally, now that it's daylight and normal hours to be awake, both Duke and I no longer need the bathroom! (and yes, he did make it every time. It was so funny watching him jump around the lawn trying to avoid the sprinklers that were on at 4 am!!) And Kitty, thanks, we ARE keeping well hydrated!

Duke once got into a bag of the mini York Peppermint Patties. And ate them all! At least when he barfed, it smelled minty fresh! He's another one that will eat anything. Definitely not a food critic!

Duke is the same way. If I scold him, he slinks away to hide and looks so pathetic. He drives me nuts sometimes, but he's so damn cute it's impossible to stay mad at him!

I don't drink at all. Last time I did was at my Mom's 70th birthday party. My sister told me to go ahead and have a drink. I had 1/2 of a very weak Fuzzy Navel and was toasted! Thanks, I'll pass. I'm a stupid drunk.

It's only about 56 here right now, but it's sunny and heading for the upper 60s. I am so glad it's finally getting warmer! And the wind has died down considerably, just breezy now. But we are still under a fire warning all day. Hopefully no stupid person will toss a cigarette butt out the window and set the entire state ablaze!

Oh the drinking! When I was just a whipper snapper I could party like it was 1999. Give me 3 drinks now and I am totally snookered! I actually met DH at a party that was taking place at his house and some of the drinking games they use to play, WOW! There was Beer die, 3 man, Up the river down the river, Presidents and I'm sure a few others that I just can't seem to remember.

Magi: My brain filter gets broken when I've been drinking. If I think it, I will say it!

I've decided to record the America episodes and then watch them later when there is nothing else on TV.

I've got a load of laundry going and the dishwasher is running. That's it so far. I plan on going for my walk at 10AM. I am so happy that the sun is shining and that the temp is moving up.
