Tkers...Killing threads seven days a week!

After college, I went on the Eurorail with a friend for three weeks. Now I know just how silly that was. We were young and stupid, sleeping on trains and finding hotels where we could. People do suck and our world is just so scary sometimes.

i do like the idea of the baby monitor... thats a very good idea

I don't think its necessarily a foreign country issue. Tourists are easy prey wherever they go. Especially women travelling by themselves. They have to be super careful.

Lily, I remember what the dining hall experience was. Just think of all the yummy food you'll be having at Disney next week!

Oh goodness please!! Disney food is my heaven.
I found out that the food they serve at the cafeteria here is the same food they serve in prisons.

Magi - I'm sorry to hear about your cat :(

Oh goodness Lily! Our dining food was provided by Mariott, like the hotel chain. I seriously doubt that any hotel would serve such rubbish. We did have this wok system though....you bought the raw stuff and then cooked it to your own liking. That was pretty sweet.

We also had a very dangerous night delivery...you could order pizza, wings, soda and Ben&Jerrys on your dining plan until 1am! And at the end of the year, when you had to finish off your balance, we were ordering food every night. Ugh.

Oooh night delivery now that would be fantastic!!!!!!
Don't get me wrong they have some good stuff but some of it is just yucky. They just lack selection. I don't want to be eating the same thing for 8 months.

It'll just make you appreciate real food more. And it won't be forever!

I have a question. I have lots of tech gadgets. That means lots of accessories and cords. How do you organize it all? Between my iPod, Zune, Garmin, dig camera, flip camera, laptop/netbook, cell phone. Its all too much! Its ganging up on me! Right now I have a small vanity case that I'm using. But its really scary in there....

my mom hangs hers up on the wall, on a hook

My electronics are always in a mess. Between the cords and trying to keep everything organized it just becomes too much work. I have never really kept everything together though, like in one place. But if I did, I probably would keep everything in a drawer. I'd also put twist ties on the cords for each device, just to keep them from tangling. Then again you want to have the stuff easily accessible to you.

Right now I have everything twist-tied and in ziplocs according to gadget. Sounds more organized than it is. I just had to charge my iPod and finding the right cord was a nightmare. But I guess I shouldn't complain from having too much stuff. I'm so blessed to have such things.

My friends here.....I need to go OT just for a moment. Please forgive me.

Jenn, I do believe we both agreed to disagree last night. I was fine and dandy with that. The debate was dropped. I even told a few others that I was going to step back from all that.

So, do not pm me about what we agreed to drop. You didn't want to continue discussing it last night and I respected your wishes. I expected the same from you.

As far as I'm concerned, this "debate" is done.

Carry on, everyone. I'll be back later after dinner.

That is a very good idea!
Someone should create a little cord organizing tray that you can label each section with the electronic device the cord belongs to.

I tried the charging station idea, but it was too small. Good idea, and great to the everyday charge like the cell phone. I think I need like a Caboodle (or are you too young to remember those?) I think I'm showing my age...

i remember those i loved them..probably need one of the really big ones

Why did those go out of style? They were really practical. I think they should be brought back. They were great in my college days, when there was very little personal space.

I don't know about ya'll but, I just throw all that stuff in a draw and let my anal-retentive hubby sort it out. After 18 years, I can pretty much tune out his complaining and it's easier than doing it myself.
