When my sister would act up my Mom would tell her that if she didn't cut it out she would smack her. My sister told my Mom that she would call the police. My Mom told her she wouldn't be able to if she was tied to a chair with duct tape over her mouth!

Never happened but it was funny!

Now why would I peel the tape off her mouth? This is the quietest it's been in my house all day.

There's still some Christmas garland on the mantle. I'll just use that to decorate the kids. Pictures to follow.

They make pads for that.

Morning all! A lazy morning for me around here. DD is still asleep and I just got DH and DS out the door for DS's Jiu-Jitsu class. This is DS's anniversary month. He has been taking classes for 3 years now. Helping with teaching for probably at least the last 2 years. DD and I used to go watch him 95% of the time until they moved to a new location which has no place to sit plus DD quit taking classes and the majority of the kids sitting around with her to play with were just a bunch of mean little boys. Not that I have anything against boys. I have one myself. It's just a bunch that are just not nice to little girls. Anyway, we watched DS's classes A LOT until probably 6 months ago. A few days ago DH finally went in the new gym for the FIRST time and stayed for DS's whole 2 hour class. He comes home and says to me "He really is good at teaching. Have you ever watched him?" I am like you have got to be kidding me!!!! I just said "Of course". It has been baffling me ever since that he could even think that just because he watched ONCE that with his keen observing skills he has outdone me on having seen what my son can do! Grrrr!@$#%$#& Why do they do that?

Anyhoo... moving right along! Kitty, I hope you find poor Chi-Chi! Have you checked all your cabinets? We looked all day one time for our cat and finally found that she had crawled up into the bathroom cabinet where our towels are stored. The door had gotten shut on her so she was just in there snoozing.
We have 3 cats. The one inside is Prissy. One lives outside and goes in and out our garage named Ezri. And, India just lives outside all the time.

Morning everybody!!! Having kind of a lazy day today (work wore me out for the only 2 days that I worked this week). I had no idea that taking care of 19 3-4 year olds could be so tiring but so rewarding at the same time. I absolutely LOVE working with my kids and the things they'll say just crack me up sometimes.

How have things been going around here with everyone? I've been scarce so I've missed out on some interesting conversations. keep me posted!

Afternoon! Weather is ok here. Still too chilly for me. The sun is shining but it's pretty breezy out there.

Mere, congrats on the job going well for you so far. Having 4 kids is enough to wear me out. I couldn't imagine 19 even if they all did go home at the end of the day.

Mary, just pop in when you can. We've all been through this drill before. If we are lucky, there will be more baby tkers to welcome into the family. Take it easy and let your mom take care of you for the next few days.

Marie, you mean when you would go see DS, you did just sit there twiddling your thumbs and staring off into space? All I can say is 'MEN"

Afternoon everyone. Well it if official, Nick is all done with College Baseball. Oh well, now he can focus on school and making the big league some day (ya never know ha ha). We drove to Lynchburg yesterday to watch the tournament. We ended coming home the same day because Wesleyan went 2 and out (for those that don't know tournament play...just know that is really bad lol). The second game was an extremely stressful game! Tied in extra innings. Bases were loaded a couple of times. Of course we were "visitor" so that only added to the stress.

Nick seems to be okay though. The kid that pitched the last inning (they lost in the 10th) allowed the winning run on a walk...I'm glad that was not Nick, but it happens. Hopefully the kid is not beating himself up. What is funny is Wesleyan was the #2 team going in the tournament and we lost to the #1 team...imagine the dumb luck .

Not much else going on around here. It is a quiet rainy day. DD is in Richmond at her boyfriends moms wedding. She said it is in a mansion and is the most amazing house she has ever seen. I told her to get lots of pictures.

Kitty, did you find your cat? I will keep your kitty in my prayers. I am sure you will find him safe and sound.

Jo- Did you remember to untie your kids?

Pike- Stop making Kitty pee herself...geeze what are we going to do with you.

Marie- I just noticed your siggie. I didn't know Dec was your first DW trip.

Right now, my kids are making homemade pizzas. Or actually, they are making a big mess that I'm going to have to clean up.

My oldest daughter is at her first concert without us. It's at the local high school but still. I've over protective sometimes.

same here.. most just knock me out.. i try to take whatever it is, in this case, my allergies, the sneezing, runing nose, running and itchy eyes as long as i possible can, then i have to cave in..
