Thanks for othe cell phone help. Looks like the only kind I can get w/o breaking the bank or signing another contract is a "to go" phone from AT&T. Think we're probably going to go that route eventually anyway cuz we NEVER use up all our minutes and it would save us a bundle not being in a contract.

Hope everything is going okay for JO and LITC. We're here for you when you can come back.

Kitty - Yay on the Christmas cards being done. My house looks like yours right now. STuff everywhere and so much to do. Just can't get it all done.

Do you have AT&T now D&D? When I got my Net10 and called to drop AT&T, they were offering me deals to stay with them. I did not use up the min either. I bought 300 min the end of Oct and still have 180. My time is out Feb 26. I must buy more time by then but will not loose any I may have left. My main problem is I am getting calls not for me---for the person who had the number last. Also texts. I can delete the calls but I cannot tell who the texts are from. So I loose .5 min...no biggie I guess.

I took my former aide out shopping today. She had the stroke and lost her license because of her vision. We had a good time. I had 2 free lunch coupons which we used--thought of Kitty!

Pat was glad to be back. He needs the wheel alignment yet but that was no emergency. I can get that done at the next oil change I guess. I told him not to be jealous...I really did not like the PT Cruiser. It had leather seats and they were cold! I did like the sun roof though...and we did have sun today.

Good morning ladies! I did it! I finally did it! I finished my holiday cards!

Its really a tactical move. Really have to get my behind in gear in visitor prep. Can't do it yet. The guest house is mostly ready. I washed the linens and towels. Just have to do a quick vaccuum and dust on Saturday. But my house? absolute shambles. Have boxes going to the Phils, gifts to wrap, recyclables, overall chaos. I really am at a loss. Too overwhelming.

So of course, I'm getting ready to watch Despicable Me instead.

I was wondering about LITC too. I'm going to send her a text today.

The coffee crisp, in its golden glory, is calling me. But I know once I tear into his crinkly goodnessm I won't be able to stop. Its a dilemma.

Watched Despicable me on Sunday with the kids...was surprised how much I enjoyed it. How was the coffee crisp? That's made me want one too...think there's some in the leftover halloween bars I have stashed in my closet.

Still haven't made it to Despicable Me. Been having issues with time management. Felt like having a dance party to get the blood flowing--its been soo cold lately.

If any of you have daughters interested in young adult fiction (AKA Twilight or Hunger Games), I'm presently reading Matched by Allie Condie. I love it and should be finished with it tonight...and then I"m going to probably read it over again. Its another post-apocalyptic tale, where society is highly regulated, including your spouse. Every person is MATCHED to their mate and for the heroine, Cassia, she's matched with her childhood friend. But she also glimpses another possible match...I can't tell you much more, because I haven't reached it yet but its so so good so far! Recommended!

So, if you remember, I ordered from Ecko last week. Winter coats for $20. They came in today and they rock! They are so warm and toasty and the hoodie has faux fur! Its lovely. I almost am tempted to go out in this g*d-forsaken weather and try it out.

Mmm...side dishes. Mashed sweet potatoes and stuffing so far. Made potato salad and egg salad. I serve the egg salad on bagel crisps, that's about as fancy as I get. I couldn't decide on a main dish, so I decided to empty the panty and just make what I could. I'm pretty happy about it too!

Kitty - what about your Lands End coat? I have been staying VERy warm despite the temps and snow here.

And I laughed SO VERY hard reading this post. I am assuming you meant that you emptied out your pantRy, right?!?!?!?!?!?! ( And I hope you are still happy about it, )

Well I got on FB and I could even post on the TK thread. Strange how I cannot sometimes.

Anyway...I was just thinking...we should be brainstorming new names for our thread. We only have 25 to go. My brain isn't coming up with any good ideas though. So put on those thinking caps...

I had some not post. I hit comment and the words turned grey and nothing else happened...no post. I thought it was just my stupid computer. I really am going to see about another system in Jan.

I have been following along with reading, I just can't seem to post as Walter has decided everything in the house with buttons or keys (like a keyboard) belong to him and only him so I am unable to type when he is awake, and by the time he is asleep, I am usually ready to crash myself. Ok, so I was pouting a little bit since my birthday because most of my so-called FB friends negelected to wish me well. I just spoke to my cousin who told me that it wasn't posted on his end. So it wasn't that all those people didn't care, they just didn't know! I feel so much better. Kinda like being back in high school and being the kid left out.

BF kinda made me mad too. I was so happy about my dolls today. He thought I had spent too much money. I was put-off a bit. Me...spend too much money? I mean, it was extravagant and unnecessary, but I spend most of the year trying to save money and be a smart shopper, can't I splurge on myself? I work and save and coupon, its not like I'm frivolous. This is my thing. And its a clearance sale at that!

I'll just hold my Twilight Edward doll close to me and enjoy his company.
