Raising kids is just so stressful! It's hard to know how to best handle things. What works for 1 kid may not work for other. Maybe that kid just needs TLC Pike. He must like it at your house to come over like that. Maybe there's nothing at his place to play with? I'm an only but always had kids at my house because my mom played with us! She made sure they all knew the rules of the house and she corrected them even if their parent was there. No one seemed to mind. Of course that was the dark ages!

I will probably not get the cheap tickets for Hershey next year. My friend's job is being axed and he may not want the other one they offer him. If the pay is raised he may do it but he's really not worried about a job---retirement sounds good!

We are just going to have to plan way ahead of time for Hershey. But not anywhere around August. Still hoping to get that Disney vacation in next year.

I just checked my airfare. I bought off Expedia, and they have a 24 hour price adjustment policy. Too bad my flight went up $50 in 12 hours! I feel a little relieved and a little miffed. Its the exact same flight!

Can not blame it on PMS but I think I will anyways. I just wrote a screw you post on FB! I got an email today from the Disney store telling that I could win a Harveys Disney bag if I became a friend on Harveys FB page. I get to the page and lots of people have posted about how they like Disney and a few are being funny and posted things like "Pick me!". I guess one of the regular posters took offense and just had to post the following:

THIS IS A HARVEYS PAGE, NOT DISNEY. SOME OF USE USE THIS PAGE EVERYDAY AND CHECK IT HOURLY. Yes they do a disney bag, but did you know they have done many, this is not the first. YOU DO NOT NEED TO POST TO BE ENTERED.
I REALLY HOPE A TRUE HARVEY "SISTER" WINS and not some one just looking for free stuff or validation.


So I just had to post the following:

The only reason I even knew about Harveys is because I got an email from the Disney Store telling me about the give away. I've been checking out their bags but if owning one turns me rude like you then maybe I just better spend my money elsewhere.

I'm just feeling cranky today because of the rainy weather.

That poster did reply to me and I decided to play nice. I guess the regulars were upset because their questions and comments are getting buried by all the non-regulars posting "I love Disney!" and "Pick me!". I guess I can kind of see it. I'd be mad if a bunch of people came over to our thread and just started posting stuff. Wait a minute, that has happened before.

They were probably not understanding about the giveaway but really could have been a little nicer. I know we are nice to strangers!

I tried to post on fb but aol keeps shutting down. It did that before. Don't know why. I just get 1 letter or several words typed and poof---restarting!

I got my hair cut this am and then went to Target. They had storage cubes on sale. I'm using them to put craft supplies on when I get rid of my desk. Meanwhile, I have more piles!

Brava Pike! Good for you. Really, the angry posters should direct their ire towards the company or Disney. Especially Disney! They should know that they would hve gotten bombarded with posterse who are Disney-philes! They're one of the most ardent fans around!

So I ventured out. Its really just misty out there and really humid. Translation: miserable. I think the drugstore lady rang my stuff up wrong. I'm going to check and probably head back tomorrow for either and adjustment or a return.

Good luck with the organizing M...its a constant struggle for me too. Wait, who am I kidding...the chaos has won. Its just tolerating my efforts to subdue it.

I just have to agree with this. It's a constant battle with no victory in sight! (I forgot to quote and my computer is especially slow now!) It sounds like a bad hair day for you too! My town is having their fair this week. I want to go but it keeps looking and feeling like rain. I love looking at the animals.

ah, the hair. I keep it long in the attempt to pull it back all the time. I'm honestly too lazy to make it look nice. I could make myself presentable if I whipped out the hair dryer, but its just too much effort. Bring back the 80s...my big hair is perfect for it.

I love little fairs too. Its so interesting to see what your nieghbours do. I didn't know we had a few llama farms around here and that the largest bald eagle sanctuary is about 30 minutes from here. And you know I love the petting zoos!

BF and I just made plans to visit the cider mill in a few weeks. Gotta get those cider doughnuts and caramel apples! Yum!

There's this crazy lady in my neighbourhood. She wears a turban. A huge one! But the most interesting part of it is that it looks like she just took her curtains down and wrapped it around her head. There are even little ornaments hanging from it. I don't even know how she balances it on her head. I've been trying to get a covert picture of her for weeks now but I just haven't been able to do it.

We didn't go to our fair this year, saved us a whole $2.

Hi all:

Busy day...finally got around to opening bank accounts for the kids this a.m. Road trip to the next town to see Toy Story 3 and then the adventure of shopping with my 10 year old son...arrggh!! He wanted a pair of Nike 6.0 shoes for school...said he would use his backpack from last year if I would buy him 'good' shoes...I said we'd see how much they cost. Stop in a store and they run around $110!! But there was a pair on for $59 so I bit the bullet and bought them...I figure I probably save $25 in gas that it would cost to drive to the nearest city. Anyways now he's not sure he likes them!!! You've got to be kidding me!! I thought dressing girls is the hard part!!

Friends of his live on the Jersey shore outside Atlantic City, so maybe we can do a road trip.
