Can not blame it on PMS but I think I will anyways. I just wrote a screw you post on FB! I got an email today from the Disney store telling that I could win a Harveys Disney bag if I became a friend on Harveys FB page. I get to the page and lots of people have posted about how they like Disney and a few are being funny and posted things like "Pick me!". I guess one of the regular posters took offense and just had to post the following:

THIS IS A HARVEYS PAGE, NOT DISNEY. SOME OF USE USE THIS PAGE EVERYDAY AND CHECK IT HOURLY. Yes they do a disney bag, but did you know they have done many, this is not the first. YOU DO NOT NEED TO POST TO BE ENTERED.
I REALLY HOPE A TRUE HARVEY "SISTER" WINS and not some one just looking for free stuff or validation.

So I just had to post the following:

The only reason I even knew about Harveys is because I got an email from the Disney Store telling me about the give away. I've been checking out their bags but if owning one turns me rude like you then maybe I just better spend my money elsewhere.

I'm just feeling cranky today because of the rainy weather.

They were probably not understanding about the giveaway but really could have been a little nicer. I know we are nice to strangers!

I tried to post on fb but aol keeps shutting down. It did that before. Don't know why. I just get 1 letter or several words typed and poof---restarting!

I got my hair cut this am and then went to Target. They had storage cubes on sale. I'm using them to put craft supplies on when I get rid of my desk. Meanwhile, I have more piles!

:cool1:you go girl!!! I notice that on your FB and was wondering what the hec is a harvey bag. That girl sounded like do not post here unless you worship. I mean checking every hour:confused3 What a new bag will be out each hr?

M I swear I clicked your quote and its not here. Get rid of AOL, but your still on dial up aren't you? I think that might be the problem, that you keep getting kicked off. So get rid of dial up, then aol and try gmail.

ok, so I had to find out what there Harvey bags are. Well, they are cute, but really, that is too much money! For that money, I want a lifetime guarantee and some leather involved.

I'm distraught that the new Macys ads use "Magic" from Xanadu as its background song. Its not even the original version. The new one is CRAP! Bring back Olivia Newton-John! I'm a huge Xanadu fan...we even saw it on Broadway. I have the soundtrack. I've even considered naming my child Keira.

Ev, if you go to Atlantic City, we can make the road trip there. I haven't been in years. I could even drag along my brother's wife.....the whackadoodle who wanted to model, own a monkey, etc. And I'll even bring a whole bag of candy for your DH.

Pikester, you are just vicious lately. :lmao:

MK, I haven't seen that commercial but I'm sure I wouldn't like the remake. There are very few remakes that I ever like.

M&N, I won't even get in on the AOL/dial-up discussion. I'll just say that I don't know how you deal with it.

I don't know Harvey either...just as well...don't like snooty bag people! :rotfl:

I do want to get rid of aol but too busy to bother! I also do not relish the idea of having to get a new email address out to everyone.

Morning all:

Beautiful sunny day here...guess I'll have no excuse not to get some yardwork done.

They live in Ventnor so not too far from the casinos...I noticed Hershey is on the way.

Marie - Love the Jokes!!!!!:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I try to live by the saying "you should prepare you child for the path and not prepare the path for your child"

So, I've been trying to find hotels to stop at on our way to WI and back. It is not easy. It's not like taking 95 down to FL where there is an exit every 10 miles with 5 different hotels. And one of the major stopping exits is South Bend, IN. It will be a Saturday night during college football season. Not a reasonable rate in site.
Very good saying to live by!
If you can, try to make it to one of the suburbs of IL. DO NOT GO THROUGH DOWNTON CHICAGO UNLESS IT IS 3AM!!!! Take the toll (294) and go around it. Seems longer but believe me going through downtown will add HOURS and those few extra miles to go around will pay off. Tolls aren't too bad. Maybe 3-4 80cent tolls and $1.50 in Gurnee. Compared to I-80 it will seem like a bargain.

D&D, keeps giving me all these great ways to save some bucks on this vacation. I'm now on a mission to make this our cheapest vacation ever.
I prefer to call it the most "inexpensive vacation" mind you. :snooty:

I will probably not get the cheap tickets for Hershey next year. My friend's job is being axed and he may not want the other one they offer him. If the pay is raised he may do it but he's really not worried about a job---retirement sounds good!
That's too bad about his job. Bummer.
If we do plan another Hershey get together, lets do it in early sping so I can still use my airline credit I got from this year's cancellation.

NOw there's the PIkester we all know and love!!! Good girl!:thumbsup2

Cold front came through..only in the 80s now. :cool1:

You must be freezing. :rotfl2:

Weather has been absolutely gorgeous here. Upper 70s, sunny and low humidity. :cool1: Last night temps dipped into upper 40s but only for the evening. Great sleeping weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year. And, since this summer kinda su**ed I am happy to see a new season on its way

Morning ladies! Another nice day here today. Too bad I have so many things to do that I can't stay outside to enjoy the weather. Sounds like it's pretty nice everywhere else too. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Oh yeah, LITC, I just wanted to mention that I finally got the chance to check out all the new Walter photos. He is so adorable! I loved the ones with Mickey and many of the others. He is growing so fast.

Off to consider getting some house work done.... or something....

Good morning ladies. Its less cloudy today. I've actually seen the sun. I'm pretty happy about it.

JO---I agree with Pikester. I think Chicagoland has worse traffic than NY! It once took me 2 1/2 hours to come back from shopping to where I lived near Wrigley Field--something that should have taken me 30 minutes max. (BTW D...my friend and I would go to Gurnee Mills a lot--he was stationed at Great Lakes there!). Go around...it'll be so worth it!

Well, I have to kiss my Good Housekeeping subscription goodbye. (not that I ever paid for it). I received a letter from collections yesterday about my subscription that's supposed to expire NEXT FEBRUARY. I did not appreciate that at all. I didn't think they'd automatically try to renew my subscription, and if I chose not to renew, wasn't that a hint? I know, its all the publishing house's problem, not GH, but it really rubbed me the wrong way.

Speaking of money, my flight went up even more last night! Its now up $100 from what I paid on Tuesday. Tricky, tricky....

My laundry is almost up...have to go get it on the line!

Glad you pulled the trigger on that flight when you did. :thumbsup2

We love going to Gurnee Mills. They have a Rainforest Cafe there and I just LOVE their Pastalya. Mmmm! Plus I always find some bargains there.

Marie - Forget the housework. It will just get dirty again any way. Go outside and enjoy!!!

M...if that were true, I'd be Miss Universe!

D...how far are you from Gurnee? I've eaten at that Rainforest Cafe too!

ah, if only it were that easy!

Caution: the next tale may be too risque for some!

So I got the cutest skirt from Target last week. Sine the weather finally cleared up, I couldn't wait to wear it. I bought it in my usual size--most of you have met me, so you can probably guess its XL. But walking in the store today, my skirt nearly fell down! I was way low on my bottom. Freaking out, I went to the ladies room to see what I could do. All I had in my bag was paper clips! So I tried to clip my skirt to my skivvies--but they're lace and the clip wouldn't stay! egads!

I ended up tying the waistband together and buying some safety pins. I pinned myself together in the parking lot. Lesson learned---try on clothes and walk around before leaving the house! And its a really cute skirt too!

oh D....if only I had known you then. I was literally in Gurnee at least 4 nights a week!

Oh my! You poor dear. I hate when stuff is really cute but doesn't quite work out the way you want it to.

If it was quite a few years ago I probably lived even closer. Who knows, maybe we passed each other in mall and didn't know it. Kinda like we passed each other at the World's Fair in Vancouver in 86.
