M&N I was going to warn you about falling branches but I guess you managed to avoid them. You're not going to believe how bright your bedroom is.

$56/day is really a bargain when I compare it to the Cal St campground. It does not have elec/water or cable nor an accessible beach. It costs $34/day! If it weren't for family I would just skip California.

Hello ladies! Been super busy just trying to get things back to normal...I have some more laundry to do, but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, so I'll postpone it til then.

DL55...that is a fantastic rate you're getting at FW! I may even be tempted to camp for that cost! I totally understand you on Cali. I'm not a huge fan either. When do you leave? Make sure the camper is in tip top shape---no flooding this time!

I rocked it at Staples today. With coupons and my rebates, I got a basketful of supplies, a file case, and mailed a package to Alicia for $1.05! I actually had to pay $6.05 out of pocket, but I have a $5 rebates....It was orginally $56!

I also went to Dunkin Donuts for some iced coffee and they were about to throw out their munchkins, coz it was a few hours old. I told them I would take them! They'd be a few hours old sitting on my kitchen table anyway...score about 2 dozen munchkins for free!

M....glad to hear the tree came down without incident. It was probably better to do it now than wait for some big snowfall and have Mother Nature take care of it.

JO...if you're not around, have a rockin awesome weekend away! You totally deserve and I know you'll make the most of it. Can't wait to hear the stories!

7 1/2 more hours till we leave. I packed everything for 5 people in an hour. And that included folding the last bit of laundry that was done.

The house is clean and of course I cleaned it. And if you want to know how horrible my "house suckers" are....I made pasta salad to take with us since we are not stopping to buy lunch when we are driving. We have some grilled chicken legs and are just going to stop for a picnic lunch and let the kids run around for a bit. The inlaws knew I made the pasta salad to take with us. The male house sucker decided since I wasn't home to cook dinner, he would just take a big scoop out of each bowl I made and eat it for dinner. I guess he though I wouldn't notice except he left his bowl and the ladle in the sink for me to wash. I am just so disgusted by their whole attitude. And that includes MIL since she just condones this stuff.

This weekend is going to feel so good. I may never come back.

Good afternoon ladies! I have a blissful day of self-indulgence planned. Going to watch DVDs, read magazines, do the laundry. All on my own terms. I'm excited. Now if I could only entice some young strapping lad to give me a massage, I'd be in heaven.

DL55...I'm shamelessly cheap. I opened my big fat mouth and asked for the doughnuts. I was more than ready to pay for them--at a discounted price of course! But I got them for free, which was so much better!

JO--that sort of disrespect would peeve me off too. Essentially, he was taking away from your kids, knowingly, and without remorse. I would have taken that dirty spoon and tried to knock some sense into the housesucker!

Well, we found something fun to do this weekend. We're going to watch the race with some friends and have a race party. I'll update you on how it goes and who wins the race. The kids are really looking forward to it too.
The party will take my mind off the fact that we should be driving to WDW this weekend and enjoying free dining.

Good morning ladies. Another overcast and blah day. High chance of showers. I did my laundry yesterday, put it out on the line. Looks like I won't be able to do that for a while, as its supposed to rain most of the upcoming week, just sporadically as its supposed to be high humidity.

I spent most of yesterday evening organizing my DVDs. I"m about 80% done, and I quit when I was getting frustrated with it all. I have such a good collection, but it was really unorganized and it had been bothering me for a while now. I have to go out and get another binder organizer, but my issue is what to do with all those cases? Can they be recycled?

Oh, D...I'm sorry that you had to have cancelled your trip. It must be sad, but please enjoy your race party! It'll just give us more time to plan another more expansive trip!

Still kinda on the cleaning kick, I better give into it while its here. Otherwise, it may be another 6 months before I feel it again!

DL55...you went hiking? I saw on the morning news that your part of the country is getting pounded with heat. Did you stay hydrates? How was the waterfall? Up near Ithaca (Cornell University) there are a lot of waterfalls, called the gorges. Nice hiking up there...

Mmm...making chicken fetuccini. Just one of those days where you need some hearty comfort food. Sorry, Sukie, but the rain is here, but I'm hope your way is spared!

Saw that they're bringing a new La Femme Nikita to tv. I liked the old show so I was inspired to watch it...now that I know where my DVDs are! I don't know why the character of Michael was so yummy, but he just is. He's dark and dangerous but still quite caring. I wonder who will play him in the new show. Probably someone way too young for me!

The waterfall was nicer than I expected. It actually had water. It is about 45 ft tall with a thin fall but it catches on the rocks and spreads out. Not much compared to Niagara but still nice. We took the hike at 7:30 and done by 9 am. We never hike after 10 am.

Hey everyone. I stopped in my house after HP to check things on here! It didn't rain while I was there. I went alone so I only watched the first show---had my ice cream (which I feel guilty about now) and left. It was a good walk since it wasn't too hot. Of course not as nice as a waterfall though.

D&D---DW is too hot now anyway...would not have had much fun in the heat...tell yourself that 5 times and it may sink in but then again...

Hey Sukie---missed you! Hope you get to sleep late on vacation!

JO--if there are dirty dishes in the sink when you get home...march that sucker in there and point to the dishes and say that something is wrong with this picture! Please correct it!

gotta get to mom's. She had a regular dr appointment tomorrow so I'll get lunch with her.

MagiKitty~ That rain snuck in in here in the middle of the night. Thats ok, a rainy day at home beats any day at work! We aren't doing anything special. Day trips and puttering.

DL55~It sound like it was really nice there. I love the sound of running water. If I ever do anything like that, I like to do those things early too. The rest of the day you can recover.

M&N~ I actually slept in till 6:15. It is better than 3:30. I guess DH got up with the cats.

A couple of months ago we bought a new flat screen TV and had a heck of a time hooking it up to DH's system. Friday night we got a new Blue-ray player and here we go again. What happened to the good old days when you bought something and went home and just plugged it in. It seems that every time we buy something we have to go back a couple of times to the store and get help. It is so hard to understand the manuals. Maybe it's just us.

Good morning ladies! Still overcast and rainy here. Its enough to make me wanna go back to bed. I guess its appropriate since yesterday was the anniversary of Woodstock. I didn't go over to the site for festivities, but I heard it was nice over there.

Sukie...sounds like a great way to spend vacation to me! Just doing things on your own time and terms. Congrats on your sleeping late--I wish I were more of a morning person. Really, the only good thing about mornings to me is breakfast and coffee.

LITC...I haven't checked my emails yet, but I'll make sure to. If you hear any squealing, its me cooing over the little man!

I'm done with my laundry only now I'm ignoring the putting away, which I desperately need to do. Part of me is thinking if the weather remains this way for weeks, I may just put it off until its time to bring out the fall wardrobe!

Glad we went hiking yesterday. Woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. It stopped by the time I took the dog for her regular walk.

I looked at the dates available for free dining (in 2011). They are NOT available when we are going in May. Maybe we'll be able to get some TS.

LITC....its amazing just how photogenic Walter is! He has such a toothy adorable smile. There are too many I thought were the best...I have to admit I'm a bit partial to the full on face with him wearing the Mickey ears! He's just gorgeous....

oh, excitement! I finally found a place to donate my old books! Its in the next town and its a literacy center! I'm going to go right now and find some books to bring over! I've been holding onto to books for a while now, searching for a good place for them to find a home.
