woo-hoo! Vacation preparations! Have fun DL...and have some fruit for me!

The Kindle is here! And the most terrible thing is, I don't know if I like it. This may sound strange, but the screen doesn't look real. I know its e-ink...but it just looks fake! I'm going to try to read it once its fully charged. I like how it can read to you, and that I can download my existing audiobooks to it. I'm glad I got the bundle with the leather case...its so light, I'm afraid I'd trash it in my bag.

And darn if I didn't miss the delivery man too....

Hey Guys,
I guess I spoke too soon. I had a bad reaction yesterday to one of the infusion drugs. I was achy and had a fever of 103 and looked liked I'd fallen asleep under a sun lamp.
I know that if you have a fever of 101 you have to go to the hospital but, last night David called MDA and they told me to take Tylenol(something you shouldn't do on chemo usually) and to take a Benedryl.
It seemed to do the trick but boy do I feel fuzzy today. At least I'm not stuck in the hospital. I hope this isn't going to be the case for the next 3 months. I have to have that infusion..it's for the bone cancer.

Oh well, it's all a learning process from here on out.

Oh JO...that's so hard to hear re: SIL. She needs to learn to read her button signs---that point that you know you're going to blow and take things to the next level. Its not worth getting arrested and how that will affect the rest of your life. She is very lucky to have you be the voice of reason and try to make the situation less heated.

I'm home tonight...but do not want to get up early for the dentist tomorrow. I didn't get much done today. I went running around with friends. It was a beautiful afternoon. I have a few more things to get together before I go to mom's tomorrow. I'll pack at Mom's so I need to get everything there. Gotta get the list made.

LITC, I always hated the evening naps my kids took. Always felt like they stayed up forever at bedtime. Hope he falls asleep soon for you.

Hey MK! I've tried to stay in the background through everything going on with them but this was just too much. I told her no matter what they decide to do, she needs to get herself some counseling just for her.

I guess Kitty is playing with Mr Kindle now...hope he behaves and makes himself loveable!

No major problem at the dentist! PTL! He sanded it down some...it's still hurting a little. But the tooth isn't dead or abscessed so I guess that's ok. Now I have an appointment for Dec for a cleaning and checkup...they had to get my records out of storage...I was incactive for 9 yrs! I know I am bad when it comes to the dentist! I just need to keep on track.

DL55---yeah for vacations. I do read back on the posts when I get home so I'll find out what you were up too. It sounds like a great time. Enjoy the special time with dh. My philosophy is you cannot take the $ with you...! Enjoy it here and now!

Gotta get mom. She seemed ok about being alone last night...we'll see how today goes because I want to stay home tonight too! I'm not being a mean daughter...she can move here any time she wants but she wants to be there.

Winds have finally died down a bit out there. Yikes, they were strong. No damage here that I know of, but closer to the city they had a lot of trees down, power out, bricks falling off buildings, and a chruch steeple that toppled to the ground. How cow!!

Kids are off today and tomorrow and fighting about everything as usual. Hoping to do something with them this afternoon or tomorrow to get them out of the house.

M&N - you are not a mean daughter. You have been anything but mean. Hang in there. Your trip is coming up fast!

JO - That SIL of yours needs a good kick in the butt. Glad she is considering counseling.

Kitty - How's the Kindle? Not sure I could get one. I am a very hands on type of person and don't know if I could get used to reading and doing everything from electronic medium.

Also DH doesn't understand what like colored clothing means (aiming for white, beige, yellow etc) so that I only have to do one load of laundry. Already packed two laundry sheets anyway.

Evening! We finally decorated for Halloween. We are having a small get together on Saturday night so we had to do it tonight. There's spider web all over the back porch along with some danger tape. We also have this big hanging skeleton that lights up. He's hanging from the porch roof to scare everyone when they come around the corner.

M&N, miss you around here. Glad your mom is doing better.

DirecTv lied to me. It claimed that the Great Pumpkin was an hour. So after Shrek, I turned to ABC, and I watched the ending credits for Pumpkin. THen there was this faux-Charlie Brown election special on. I feel so cheated right now.

We go Trick or Treating tomorrow night. It's always the Friday night before Halloween here. Last year was great because there were houses handing out gift certificates for a cup of coffee at WaWa to all the parents.

As of now Tyler and I are staying home to hand out candy and scare any older kids that show up while Brian takes Nathan out TT. Tyler got a scary mask and fake bloody knife last night really cheap at Kmart so he may change his mind and go out TT. I guess we'll make the final plan on Sunday.
