It's been many years since we went to Disneyworld and I have a few questions. What happens if we have tickets and have to cancel our trip-can we use them towards the price of a new ticket when we rebook? I heard we now have to pay for the Magic Bands. Do we have to order these ahead of time or can they be purchased at the hotel? There are so many changes that my head is spinning but we're still going!

1. Yes.
2. Yes.**
3. No.
4. Yes. (and at dozens of other places at WDW, as well.)

**But, you don't "need" to use MBs at WDW or the resorts.
You can operate using the plastic card tickets for the functions that MBs do.
And, if you have any "old" MBs from previous trips, they will still work fine at WDW.

You can buy magicbands at your resort hotel's gift shop and elsewhere. However, there is a discount if you have a resort stay planned and order them beforehand. One problem with that though is that I know people whose magicbands did not arrive before they left home. When they got to their Disney resort and reported that, they were told "too bad" and given room key cards.
