TIW renewal

I didn't renew my TIW card as we weren't coming back to WDW for over 7 months. We're going in June so my question is when do I renew to get the most days out of it? I remember that if you renew at a certain date during the month, then the card extends to the thirteenth month the following year. Is that still a fact and if so, can anyone tell me when during the month do I renew to get the most for my money?

I have always found whatever time of the month we signed up for the card that it would extend through the end of the next month (for the following year). If you wait until you get there in June which is your best bet you should be good through July 2012.

My last purchase was June 7, and it is good thru July 31.

And note there is no special discount for renewal.
