We area headed up to Disney next week for Thanksgiving. Yay! I know we cannot use he card for any meals on that day because of the holiday blackout. Would I be able to use it for valet parking at the resort though so that valet is free or would that be a no-go too?

It only gives free valet if you have a dinner reservation. They used to not ask for your receipt, but in the last year, it seems they make you show the receipt from dinner when you return to get your car.

Don't think it has to be dinner, could be a breakfast or lunch reservation. I don't think you are supposed to stay all day - I could be wrong but I think they check how long it's been since you paid for your meal, that's one reason why you have to have a receipt.

I tend to think that if it's blacked out, no free valet. But I am not sure. I think the point of the free valet offer is so you can park to get to a meal where you will use TIW, not so you can valet for free and then go to a theme park.

Well I'd be parking to go to a meal not a theme park, but since its Thanksgiving I won't be able to use my TIW card.

Like I said I don't know for sure if you still get valet on a blackout holiday, since you can't actually use the card for a discount. You might want to call TIW and ask them. 407) 566-5858

Thanks will do and I'll make sure to post here just in case someone is searching for an answer to the same question later on.

The discount for TIW is for the meal. Using it for valet parking should not be a factor connected to the meal. You are going there for the meal, and will be able to show a reciept.

Again, the valet parking is a secondary perk of the card, independent of whether you used the card or not. (You could in effect go to a restaurant and not use the card, and still use the valet parking perk).

Yes, that's a good point - as long as you are able to show a receipt that you dined somewhere (whether you used the TiW Card or not), you should get the free valet parking.

Agree. It's not your fault that you can't use the card for the actual meal. Since you did valet park to dine and you have a receipt, I would think you would be OK.
But I've been wrong before,so calling is a good idea.
