I have Comcast and I think they may offer some kind of DVR service??? I will call them today and ask before buying a Tivo. I guess that would be cheaper??
Dan Murphy said:We have TiVo too, Chris, and it is great. I watch very little TV, but do like some shows. I just program them in, watch them at my leisure when I have the time. You'll like it.
I have the Comcast DVR thing and I love it.

Right now Comcast has their own DVR service they created. However there have been several announcements that starting this year it will be tivo service built into the cable box. I haven't heard anything recent but the last I did hear it would be later this year. We currently have an 80hr tivo with a DVD burner which we love. I think the only negative thing I can see about getting the box from the cable co. is that they do not have the DVD burner which is great for us. We tivo every Disney World show we see and have about 10 of them on DVD now. Its great!micknpluto said:How long did the process take? Do they come and hook it up??? I am going to call comcast tomorrow.
