Just back from Food and Wine. There are spare tire covers at the Meadows Trading Post. They come in four sizes, the main color is white with Fort Wilderness and Mickey. The price is 59.95 with an AP discount.

Fox,

Are they the Fort Wilderness covers that were there in the past?

Are they the Muskey Mickey or the Walking Stick Mickey?

For the WDW Bean Counters who are monitoring this board from deep in the Bunker in LBV, you'll sell more merchandise with the original Musket design.

It's all about the bottom line you short-sighted pencil pushers!

PS - Is this the start of the return of the FW merchandise?

I'm staying at OKW arrived yesterday and my wife and I made the trek to fort wilderness to get our tire cover and they were sold out of the 29 inch..Oh well we ate at trails end very good...The manager told me my best shot to get one was the middle of the week when there delivery comes in. You can call the resort merchendise 800 number and get one but they want 15.00 for shipping.

Thanks for the intervention Denise. :lmao:

If this is true then I need to add WAY more $$$$ to my souvenir budget for my March trip. ;)

PS-I love the "little stuff" with the FW logo. Pens, key chains, fridge magnets, playing cards, etc.

This is great to hear!! When we were there a couple of weeks ago, the CMs seemed confident that resort specific merchandise was coming back. Does anyone have a picture of these new covers????? The new chairs have the 'walking stick Mickey'

I am interested to know as well.. since i just got a vehicle that can use one!

This is great to hear. I hope they start bringing in more stuff soon. Does anyone have a picture? or can take a picture? to see what they look like.

Yo Disney! Is that the best you can do? Come on you slackers. At the least make it a full size graphic. O there is this thing called COLOR. No way would I ever buy that ugly thing for $59

Thanks for sending the pictures, but I have to agree with Articfox, they are substandard and I would not replace my old one for this one. On a bright note, at least they are pushing out resort merchandise.

X,

If they used color they might have to charge you $100. This is WDW after all. :sad2:

Thanks for the photos!!! Well, I kinda like it. The artwork does seem to be a little out of scale though.

Thanks for the photo!!! Whatever happened to a FULL logo in color on a Black cover? That cream/white will get dirty and mold here in FL. Weren't the "old" covers Black!? I know, I know it might get me to wash the TT and tire cover more if its white.:thumbsup2
The old version was nicer in my opinion. I am glad to see some FW merchandise is back!

I haven't been to the fort since Feb 2009, did they stop selling Ft logo gear? I am confused. lol

Yes they did quit the resort specific merchandise for most resorts for most merchandise (all the Fort). Maybe the latter half of 09. People complained about the "Disney Parks" crap - it was the same generic stuff that has overrun the parks.

Earlier this year CMs at the Fort started telling customers that the mgt had heard customer's complaints and resort specific merchanxise would be coming back. This is the first evidence of such but it remains to be seen how much will come back.

Stay tuned. :3dglasses
