I'm sure you all know about Mouse Keeping but just incase let me expain:

Mouse Keepers are the people who clean your hotel room. If you leave a tip in an envelope with the word "Mouse Keeping" They will usually do something funny for you. For example one year I found all my eeyore collection arranged like a picnic scene on my bed! It was so cute!

Also, if there is a special CM at your hotel that did something for you or was just plain nicce, make their day! Before you leave bring along 1 or 2 small gifts. If there is a CM at your hotel you happen to really like give this gift to them along with a small note. I did this last year and 3 days later I came back to my room to find a balloon, with a card as the anchor. Attached to that card were 4 Disney pins! and inside was a card with a picture of all the Winnie the Pooh characters who autograohed their faces! It was so excellent!

Have fun,

By the way does anybody know Pam? She is a CM that works in the A.K.

great tip! that sounds like so much fun! What kind of gifts did you bring for the CMs? I'll be sure to remember this if I ever stay on site!

go to www.tagrel.com and print off some CM appreciation Cards...we've passed them out a few times, and received heartfelt thanks...apprently, these can go to their personnel/ HR file...???

Just a tip:)

WOW! Those cards are a GREAT idea!! I will have to print some out for our next trip!! :cool1:

Um when I went I gave little pins with the Canadian flag and the American flag on them. It's super fun to see their faces when the recieve something!

Most CM's love to talk. Ask them where they are from, or their favorite attraction or their opinion on a restaurant. It really helps the day go by faster, and if something special is done for you, acknowledge it with a nice letter to Guest Communications. So many people think that address is only for complaints, but it isn't. Believe me, that castmember will be recognized, and it will make their day! :cool1:

The email address is: wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

The last time I was at disney, I started talking to the DVC cm at our resort, he gave us all kinds of helpful hints to make our trip more fun.

And, then another instance, same trip, a CM challenged my son when we were playing mini-golf at Winter Summerland. Since my son won the challenge the Cm went and bought him a Coke......my son thought it was sooooo cool. After that he wanted to go back to play golf every night.

It is a lot of fun to get to know as many CMs as you can!!

Yes, I even ended up having a CM that I write letters to. I always make sure to see that particular CM every visit. I have even had dinner with her!

Disnee Dad Says..........................................My DD has made up "E" awards to hand out. It's like a card, with hand drawn pictures. A couple sentences about how great a job they are doing, or while most CM's are great, they are greater! She brings ten on a trip, though last trip she only handed out five, because the standards are high!

We let them know there are few of these awards to be handed out and they are indeed special. And we try to hand them out to CM's who may not expect them, like animal trainers, survey takers, street sweepers, attraction workers.

The best time was when she gave one to an animal trainer at AK. The woman actually started crying and said no one had ever done that in the nine years she worked at WDW. She took down DD's name for her "list of great visitors" and when we got back to our hotel, there was a safari stuffed mickey and a signed picture of The Mouse on the bed! No one remembers telling her where we stayed, but it must have slipped out in conversation. Now that is Disney magic!

:cool1:

Another great tip to make the CM's feel good, ask for their autograph's! my DD tries to get the servers, character helpers, etc. they never get asked and it does really make their day and it spreads so pixie dust to boot!!

These are great!! I'll remember this for our next trip!

I love all these ideas!!! I put them in my Disney folder that I'm going to bring on my next trip that has all the great ideas from the boards. Thanks for helping to make my next trip a little funner.

I asked our server at Whispering Canyon Cafe for her signature SHE WAS SOOOO HAPPY!! When I asked her she said, "ME? You want MY SIGNATURE?" I think I made her day and was happy to do so!!! :grouphug:

My dd's got asked and received an autograph from one of the animators from the MGM attraction. It was really cool. It was before Brother Bear came out and she signed with a quick drawing of Koda. Very cute!

Wow..those are some great ideas!

I do think the CM's and Mousekeeping staff deserve a lot of credit for making our Disney experience magical. I am definitely going to use some of these suggestions on our next trip.

Last year my son was in love with the washcloth animals that mousekeeping left for us. Such a little thing, but it was a big deal to him and one of his best memories of that trip!

Thanks for the ideas!!

This is awesome! I printed lots of the cards that are sooo cute! My kids will love to thank the CM's with these!
Thanks for all the great tips! :cool1:
