As recommended, we are working on making our ADR for our group of 7. We are finding it difficult to decide where to make the reservations on which evenings since the weather has a part to play in what parks we will visit on the days we are there and we like to keep our plans flexible. We would like to go to the water parks once or twice if the weather cooperates.

Last time we were at Disney, we found that we had to stop what we were doing in one park and travel across Disney to make our ADR - it was a pain.

I am hoping someone has some tips on how to make your dining reservations work around having fun in the parks (we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas). Thanks!!

I make my trip/dining plans after I decide what parks I'm doing which days. If you're not set in a schedule, or are going to decide what to do based on weather, my suggestion would be not to make reservations in the park restaurants. I would book meals in the resort restaurants unless you have hopper park passes.

decide on a few restaurants that we want to eat first. We then look at the park hours and decide where we want to go and arrange those ADRs based on a touring plan.

Our kids are getting to an age where they can make some decisions for themselves. The last day of our recent trip was open to our kids to decide what they wanted to revisit with very few guidelines. Since we did not know where we would be when, we decided to do only CS .

Depending on when you go, having minimum ADRs may be possible if you're not too picky on where you eat. This week I was helping a friend plan ADRs for a last minute trip and was able to find several possibilities since she knew she had to be flexible. Spring Break a couple of years ago another friend went without ADRs and was able to get into some places by calling Disney Dining that same day.

Being flexible is key. I recently help my friend complete her ADR's online for early Dec and we managed to get everything except CRT :guilty: But all hope is not lost as due to the fact that our trip isn't until next year I am quite content calling back and checking the website everyday for her so. Just be open minded & relax it's WDW take in the magic :cloud9:
