Tips on How to Make a Disney Trip Photo/Video CD

For the past 4 years, my kids, my nieces, my Mom, and I have gone on an extended weekend away as a mini vacation. The second year, we started calling it our Annual Aunt Season Weekend . At the conclusion of each weekend, I collect our many photos and design a photo book, usually on Walmart.com, and order one for each family.

This year, since it is our 5th Annual ASW, our group is going to Disney! We've been planning for months, and have had several Disney Movie Nights and other related events to help us celebrate before our trip. We already have a ton of photos from these events, and I know that once the trip is here we will have a ka-jillion (my daughter tells me this is a real number) more photos. So, I'm considering creating something like a video/photo collection that can be set to music and put on a CD for each family. Problem is, I really don't know how to put something like this together outside of PowerPoint.

Any suggestions for an easy-to-use tool that would help me create a video/photo montage set to music that I can burn to a CD? I'd like to get it started now so that once we return from our late-August trip I can just add the actual vacation photos and video for a relatively quick turn-around.

I have a mac so I use I-movie to put stuff together, not sure what computer you have though!

I found Windows Movie Maker on my son's laptop so I'm experimenting with that a bit. Anyone with Movie Maker experience know if it is possible to add a YouTube video to a Movie Maker movie? Read a bit about converting files to make it work, but was wound up with a virus on my son's computer while trying to do so. Hubby had to come save the day. Needless to say, I don't want to try my hand at conversions any more. Seems like it will be a good tool though.
