Tips on How to get Excited for Disney?

23lbs in 6 weeks .. wow .. can we ask what diet you are using?

It's through a physician here in town; it's sort of like the HCG diet that you can research on the Internet. I actually give myself an injection every day--I hate needles, but I'm really desperate to lose the weight. Also get a B12 shot weekly. It also is only500 calories, plus MANY supplements/vitamins. I've never felt better in my life (I'm 59). Most of the time, it doesn't even feel like I'm on a diet! Mickey won't even recognize me!!

I have been going to DIsney World every year since 2005 with my Mom (DM).
I am heading back to Disney in 56/55 days (Nov 14-19) and I am not looking forward to it for some reason. :scared1:. These days I am no longer intersted in anything I used to enjoy/love... That includes Disney.

I just can't get into the Disney Spirit... I've been reading reports after reports, sometimes I get the burst of Happyness but it doesnt last long.

CAN somebody help me,
w/ what is going on with me?
or any tips to get interested in Disney World?

I was highly deciding on cancelling the trip. But decided not to, in hopes I'd get excited and happy again about the trip... so far not going too well. I've been going to Barnes and noble and just looking at the guides (even though i know a lot of stuff already).

Being a nurse, when we have a patient that says something like this, we immediately think depression. You should discuss this with your physician and consider taking some medication and/or therapy. Hopefully it is a temporary thing and you will quickly return to enjoying life again. I have not read through this thread and perhaps you have already sought help. Best wishes to you. Hope you are feeling better.

One of my good friends introduced me to 5-HTP. I've been on it only for like 4-5 days. She said it took her 2 weeks to a month to kick in.
my parents don't believe in the real anti-depresents, and 5-HTP is "Natural" with side effects only being upset stomach and vivid dreams.SO far it hsn't worked...except for the sideeffects. lol. but i'll see in 2weeks to a month if it does work.

Meds like this are not instaneous. They do take a little time to begin to work. Yes, mine made me rather sick the first couple of weeks. But once my system adjusted, I was fine.
