I just got back, and here are a few things that may help.............

The coffee in the rooms are terrible!!!!!! There were nine people in our party, and they all hated the coffee!!!! Plan on going to the Food court!!!! At least at Caribbean Beach!!!!

Go to Walmart in the trial size isle and get the Downy Wrinkle releaser spray, it works wonders!!!!! I never ironed once and looked like I had!!!!!

If you have kids, pack there outfits in the ziploc bags, I felt it saved a lot of time!!!

If you are going in summer months, try to find a Disney store near you they sell the fan/water bottle combined for 7.50, they were 13.50 at the parks, I used mine all the time.

I also went to our local Dollar General and bought ponchos (2 for a $1), a Purex laundry detergent for a $1 and glow sticks for the kids at night, I saved a lot of $$$$ this way. All the items were double in the parks!

You have to get a Dole Whip in MK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is to die for. It is on the right as you are going into Adventure land from in front of the castle.

Get to the character locations about 5 min before they are due to come out, I got a lot of pictures w/the character this way, I was always first in line, no wait. Each park has a time when they come out. It is on a single sheet of paper w/ other show times and parades w/ the park maps.

Take advantage of the EMH mornings. The 4th of July is supposed to be the busiest time to go to WDW and in the mornings, I never had more than a ten min wait for the biggest attractions. It was great for us because we have a 2yr old so he was ready for a nap by 1 or 2 right when it was starting to get busy.

In Epcot, in France, go to the bakery in the back and have a chocolate croissant, they are really good.

In MGM, if you want to see the car show, get to the fast pass for this right away!!! There are only three shows a day, there was a long long line for the people that didn't fast pass. We went right in!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this helps someone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It helped me have a great vacation!!!!!!! :teeth:

Thanks for the great tips- we leave in about a month, and it's great to have more helpful hints as we're getting ready. I'm so glad you had a nice trip and no big lines even though it was a busy time of year!

Wow, they dropped the price of the water fans at the parks! :rotfl:

They were $15 when we were there. :lmao:

Appreciate the tips we will be going for the first time in October. You mentioned the getting fast passes for the car show at MGM. I can't seem to find this attraction. Is it known as something else?

Thanks, again

Thanks for the wonderful tips... but does the Downy wrinkle releaser work on cotton? The kids have a lot of cotton shirts and dresses... I would be thrilled if it did... :cool1:

The wrinkle releaser works on everything!!!! Cotton, khakis, mesh shorts................I got the idea from another posted before I leave, and it was the best tip yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beware of the Walmart water/fans! I bought one for DS and the foam blades were in such a position that you had to turn it around to feel the air. LOL :confused3

You might have the battery in backwards, it is worth checking.

with the Fastpasses? Going in late August and for sure don't want the mid-afternoon show!!!

As for the Walmart fans...the other poster was right...if the batteries are in wrong..it still works, but blows the wrong way..weird!

Another tip....If you plan on bringing a bottle of water with you and refilling it in the parks...bring with you some of those Kool-aid singles or lemonade singles. The water tastes terrible. I couldn't believe it. I was so glad someone suggested that before!

We knew we had to get a stroller...so we brought in with us a small collapsible cooler with about 4 water bottles, 4 wet washclothes, our mister fans and loaded with ice!!! It saved us from the heat. & we would just keep refilling our water bottles and making kool-aid or lemonade with them.

Thanks for the tips...I'm counting the days!!

I'm going to run in Target this evening and pick up some of that Downy stuff....sounds great.

My other tip is to buy the large (I mean really large) Ziploc bags. I'm keeping one in my backpack so that when we go on water rides (Kali, etc.), I can put our backpack, cameras, etc. in to the Ziploc bag and keep everything dry.

Good idea! Thanks for that tip...I was wondering how I was gonna handle that one! BTW, where do you find the really large ziplocs at?

Great information!! Thanks. Another thing that I bring is the plastic bags from the grocery stores to put the dirty clothes in. Works out well when I get home and have to start the laundry.

We're going to be at the Swan for a few days starting tomorrow. I need to go to Publix so I'm checking for the Downy, as well. My clothes are always wrinkled and I hate ironing.

Thanks!
