Tips for those ready to depart to WDW!!!!!

Great information!! Thanks. Another thing that I bring is the plastic bags from the grocery stores to put the dirty clothes in. Works out well when I get home and have to start the laundry.

We use one of those colapsable laundry baskets. We got them on QVC and they come 2 to a package. They work great because they are flat in the suitcase, but open up and stand up on thier own.

I brought one of those netted large laundry bags and just kept putting our dirty clothes in it. I did have to do laundry a couple of times (I am potty training a toddler), it was great to just sling it over my shoulder and walk to the laundry facilities. I put our dirty clothes from the morning we left in there and just stuffed it in my suitcase.

If you happen to pass by Destin, FL stop buy the Character Warehouse outlet at Silver Sands Factory Stores. I practically lived in that store on our trip to Destin last week! They have great park merchandise, and t-shirts, ears, hats, pins, lanyards, bags, etc. etc. at fantastic prices!

Great tips! I love the Downey tip, adding that to my list..Gonna see where the closest disney store is, we had our fans from previous trips about three yrs in a row and they finally gave out last trip..

Just one more thing......I also brought along a spray n'wash stain stick and rubbed it on all stains at the end of the day so that when I got home to wash, the stain was prewashed. I also bring 2 trash bags with me, one for whites, one for coloreds and one for darks. That way when I get home, my laundry is all sorted and I can throw a load in right away. Hope that helps somebody out there!

I use Downey Wrinkle Releaser all the time at home!!!

Be careful with the Spray n Wash sticks. I used one (during a Florida trip) and left it on too long and now my blue shirt has a bleached spot on it. I don't know how long it was left for before the laundry. It must've been more than a couple of days.

Large Hefty Zip bags are at Target...2.5 gallon I think...and under $3...

Walmart has the 2.5 gallon Ziplocs--but that is the biggest that they have.

Also, someone said that Dollar General has their own brand of wrinkle releaser that costs $1-$1.50 for a big bottle that works even better than Downy!

Walgreen's has a 5"X 5" battery operated fan that blow quite a lot of air. It runs on 2-D batteries.

Just got my spray bottle/fan from WalMart, too, with strap to carry, only $4.97. My daughter just found the personal mister for the trip (she's preggers :goodvibes and wants to stay cool) Not sure what she paid. (Wallyworld, too.)
These are such great tips, thanks! :thumbsup2

Instead of the Spray 'n Wash stick try the Tide stick. It shouldn't bleach your clothes because it is made for use and wear!

Thanks for the tip on the Wrinkle Release, I'll have to try it because when I iron in the summer I use spray starch so I would look forward to any assistance.

We carry a full size Downy wrinkle spray. ;) Don't want to get to Day 8 or 9 and have to start ironing! :rotfl:

I also have a trial size Tide liquid from Target, and a trial size Downy that came as a sample with a big bottle of Tide.

I have also had a Shout stick bleach a shirt in the past. It was a chambray denim shirt. I splashed melted butter on it and I thought the Shout would keep it from getting grease marks. After I washed it there were big white "thumbprint" marks each place I put that stick! Grease marks would have been better.

My new discovery for the week is that the gallon size plastic zip bags at Dollar Tree are a HUGE rip off!!! :furious: I bought a box of 7 bags for $1. (I have also purchased the generic ones that are 15 for $1.) I found a box of 38 - yes, THIRTY EIGHT bags - at Target yesterday for $2.11. They are Hefty brand with the sliding zip, the EXACT same thing as the 7 count from Dollar Tree. That did not make me very happy.

We missed Lights, Motor, Action last time so we will have to make sure we catch it next month!

The Ziploc bags come in XL and XXL too!!

The XL size has 4 bags in the box,the size is 2 ft. x 1.7 ft. (60cm x 51cm)

The XXL size has 3 bags in the box, the size is 2 ft. x 2.7 ft. (60cm x 82 cm)

I don't remember the cost but I think it was about $4 a box.

From what I understand, once the FP time expires, you can get another FP for a second ride. In otherwords, if the first FP you have is for 2:00pm, you can go get another FP for a different ride starting at 2:01pm, even if you haven't used the first FP yet. Does that make sense?

Beware of the Walmart water/fans!

As for the Wal-Mart spray mister fans ($4.97), BE CAREFUL! They are extremely top-heavy and have a small neck. My DD8 accidentally dropped hers (only about a foot drop onto the floor, with plush carpeting) and it cracked the neck where the top screw onto the bottom. Essentially, it's now useless for our trip. Although it still "works", it's just hanging there by broken plastic and surely wouldn't be durable enough to make the plane ride down.

Last Aug we got our FPs at the front of LMA from a CM, so we never put our pass into any machines for the FP. We got our FP immediately for LMA once we got to the park. Not sure if this has changed thou, can anyone please confirm?

IIRC, the LMA fastpasses are not tied into the other FP machine, but you have to use them for the show time that is listed on the FP. We didn't use one in June. There was a huge crowd of people waiting in the hot baking sun for the 2:45 show. I waited in the shade at the end of the street until DH and sons arrived. By that point that had already let people in. I thought it would be full but we strolled in. The stadium is huge but outdoors. Try to get a seat up high near a fan because it is hot!

Since you said, "y'all". . . .I'll tell you :goodvibes

At Walmart, down the laundry aisle. At Target, in the laundry section and, occasionally, in the travel-size section. Dollar General has a huge bottle for $1.50 that people say is good.
