My husband and I are headed to Fort Wilderness for four nights....our first trip back in over 12 years....and without the kids, who are now grown and married. We've only purchased a one day, park hopper ticket.......hoping that we could just jump around and see some of the new sights we haven't seen and a few of our old favorites, such as Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. We thought we'd visit Epcot in the morning, back to the CG for lunch, then to the Animal Kingdom, which is new since we've been there, and back for dinner at the CG, then to the Magic Kingdom in the evening for a few of our favorites. We hope to go back in two years with the grandchildren. Any tips? Thank you!

I think that is a lot for one day! Travel time will eat up a lot of your day!

One day is not enough for all that you are planning to do. Two days would probably be more realistic. You could spend a half day in each of the four parks, and that would only give you the tip of the iceberg. Counter service restaurants would be the way to go also as the table service restaurants would eat up (no pun intended) a lot of your time. My favorite counter service at the Magic Kingdom is the Columbia Harbor House. I also enjoy the food court in the Land building at EPCOT.
Take advantage of fast passes whenever possible this will save you time. When you arrive at EPCOT get your fast pass to Soarin right away this is not to be missed.
Good luck I wish you well with your commando touring.:)

I agree that this may just be too much for one day. You may find yourself not enjoying your day because you are so pressed for time. You may want to consider a second day...

I agree - you're going to run yourselves ragged trying to do all that!!

Unless you know how to :teleport: you'll probably spend more time moving from park to park than actually doing something!!

I would do three things:

(1) Priortize what you want to see - and

(2) Check on which parks have EMH the day you want to go - and hopefully they will jive with your priorities - and then take advantage of both morning and evening EMH ... (so get up early and be at your first park about 1/2 hour before it opens - and be psyched to close down your last park sometime the next morning :rotfl2: )

(3) Stick to CS meals ...

Also, AK closes earlier than the other parks, so if that's one of your "priorities", you're better off going there in the morning (and having lunch at the Flame Tree BBQ!!!)

Finally, check out the "crowd calendar" on the touring p l a n s web site (for some reason, it won't let me insert the URL ...:crazy2: or write the name without spaces ... :scratchin ... so I did an end around ... :badpc:) to get an idea how crowded the parks will be when you plan to visit - you may want to adjust our plans accordingly ... :crowded:
