Tips for Mousekeeping?

How much tip does everybody leave mousekeeping per day at a value resort?

I leave $1.50 a bed, so it's $3 a day for 2 beds. If the mousekeepers leave their little towels animals I'll leave some chocolates for them.

I leave $1 per person per day at any of the Disney resorts.

I leave $5 a day no matter which resort we are staying at. Its usually 2 or 3 of us (myself, DD11 and DBF or DD19 *school and work*). Whats funny is the only thing they really have to do is change towels, leave soap, coffee *WL*, make beds, and take the garbage which I already bagged up. Everyone teases me that I clean the room more than the mousekeepers (untrue) but I just don't want those poor souls to see how messy my family can be (but hey, we are on vacation). Plus if $5 can brighter their day its worth it.

Once I left a small bottle of Coco Chanel lotion (never used). Our mousekeeper said she liked the scent of the perfume I was wearing and thats what it was. That was when we stayed Poly CL and the mousekeeper comes in twice a day. I thought she deserved it and she left a nice thank you note.

We leave 2.00 a day. Last time we left them in mousekeeping envelopes.

Family of four...2 adults and 2 teens...we leave $5/day no matter which resort.

We stay deluxe, $5 a day for family of four with two messy little girls.

The standard is $1 per person per day. Even though we are a family of 4, I sometimes will leave $5 and found that I get extra towels and supplies. Then there are days when I don't have enough change, so I will leave $2-$3. I know there are many who don't tip at all, so I figure something is better than nothing.
