Its not definite yet but I might going back to WDW in under a month! And Im taking my brother, age 11 who has never been to WDW (in fact, he has never been to America!) and my mother, who hasnt been to Florida in over 11 years. (My father passed away a few months ago, so this is the first family holiday without him)
So.. I want to make this holiday extra special- Ive been picking up small 'magical' things we could do as a family from other threads on here, but I was wondering if there was anything else I may have missed?

We're probably staying onsite in the All Stars- Which one do you think is the best one to stay at?

Im planning on trying to ride up front of the monorail, getting guest of honour badges (do you need to pay for these? or is available to anyone who asks?), character breakfast, although not sure where, as it might be hard to get PS this close to our holiday? Im planning on getting to the parks early, especially for the Morning Awakening at AK and perhaps try to open one of the parks?

Any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated, thank you in advance! :chat:

Hi ,
Yes you have to pay for the badges. Not sure how much though.
You could make a PS at the rose and crown and try to get the patio seating for dinner and have a nice view of Illuminations. I know you are from england, but it could be fun to dine at "home" for a night.
Or you could have dinner at Ohanas at the Poly and ask for a window seat, they pipe in the music from wishes and you get a GREAT view of the fireworks from there.
If you can afford it(I cant) you could try to book a fireworks cruise, I hear they are very magical.
A carriage ride at FW or POR would be fun.
No matter what you do, I hope you and your family have a great time.
I wish some day I could come to visit you country.(its been an unatainable dream)
We had plans to when my DH was stationed in Italy, but with two babys it just didnt happen.
Oh well such is life!

Guest of Honor Badges: available at 2 locations, Celebrity 5 and 10 in MGM, and also at the Christmas Shoppe in Downtown Disney. They run about $5.60 plus change. Many names are available on the rack, and it only takes a few minutes for them to personalize names that are more unique.

Remember Ft Wilderness--it's a lovely ferry ride from the MK and there's a petting zoo and Disney barn where the horses are kept. Trail's End has a nicely priced buffet, and at night there is a sing-a-long with Chip and Dale and a movie shown outdoors.

We enjoy character breakfast (at about 10:30, so it's more of a brunch). Our favorites include Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh characters) and Donald's Breakfastosourus at AK.

Haven't stayed at the All Stars, but I highly recommend POP! We stayed a few weeks ago, and fell in love with it!

Enjoy your trip!

What about a hidden mickeys competition for your brother....every one he finds he wins a dollar...dont let him buy the book before you go though..could cost you a fortune
