tips for maid service

Just wondering what people tip the maid service?

I tip $1 per day pp. Plus I make a little spa gift for them too.

I do the same as the previous poster, $1 per day per person in the room with a little extra on the last day for a good overall experience.

$1 a day for each of us, so $4 a day. FUnny thing is I still make the beds, gather the trash and clean every morning before we head out LOL I'm sure the maids love us

Our maid was exceptionally excellent this year and everynight she made towel animals or people for my kids. She left during our 8 day stay for a deserved break for 2 days and we weren't happy. The new maid didn't give us 5 towels (POR AB section), didn't vacuum or empty the garbage. We were glad that Marta returned for our last 2 days. We tipped her 15.00 and we actually met her and thanked her again. Each night my kids would write thank-you notes to her.

We usually leave a big tip on the first day, then $5 a day afterward, which is $1 each. The kids wrote thank yous daily for the towel animals, and were rewarded with a towel sculpture that used all the stuffed animals they had on the beds, the window curtains and a zoo of towel animals. It was quite a sight!!!

We stayed for 4 days, and I tipped her $12... but, sadly ...I had to do it in Disney Dollars.. I only tipped the day we left (didn't think about doing it daily) and realized we had exhausted all our cash...so we gave her the remainder of our Disney Dollars... Good thing it spends all around there
