OK, I think most of us have come to the realization we won't be able to share TS meals, at least you can't count on it. Still, there are many advantages to the DDP that will make it worth it. That doesn't mean you don't have the problem of constantly being stuffed.

From reading the threads, a lot of ideas have been introduced. Such as the lite eaters in the group splitting a CS for breakfast, and lunch, or inquiring about getting the dessert later.

What are some more ideas for lite eaters using the DDP efficiently and not having too many credits leftover?

We are fairly lite eaters also although we did eat WAY too much last trip on free DDP. We were stuffed. Anyway.. my best tip is to use the snack credit for drinks if you want a drink. I got this idea in my head that using it for a drink was a waste and paid for the drinks OOP. At the end of the trip we had pretty much all of our snack credits left over and went on a spree in the candy store. We were never hungry enough to eat a snack but we sure were thirsty. DD drinks the water like nobodies business.
There are several places that we share CS credits also like Pizza Planet and Tusker House. We may or may not buy a drink or use a snack credit for one. At Pizza Planet the drink is the size of a compact car so it was not needed there. This then leaves us credits to share a breakfast at our hotel also. At places that we do not share a CS credit we usually save our dessert for later. Usually at CS places they are cookies or something wrapped so its easy to throw it in our bag and eat it later.

It's FREE DINING :cheer2: , so I say, eat what YOU want and don't worry about what credits you don't use.
Enjoy your trip and your meals, perhaps experiencing some new and different places you normally would not have chosen (because of cost.)
That alone is worth it to our family.

I take "no sharing" to mean that my boyfriend and I can not order 1 appitizer, 1 entree, and 1 dessert and share the whole thing for 1TS

I think that if one person wants to order a whole meal (1TS) and the other wants to order an appitizer or entree and drink as a meal (cash) and partake in some of the other person's food, that is fine. I'm going to be doing that on 2 nights (well getting my own entree using cash and sharing boyfriend's appitizer and dessert). I can't see how they are going to stop me from sharing his huge plate of nachos at ESPN Club or having a few bites of the brownie sundae at 50's PTC. I am ordering food separately as well.

We are pretty big eaters but those are two meals that just seem silly for us to use 2 TS credits for both of us so that's my plan!

Look at it this way: It's about $38 + per adult per day and $11 + per child per day. You (well, we can't) eat anywhere out for that price, let alone all day long. We're light eaters. Usually we skip the dessert, and sometimes we split the appetizer. The servers tend to insist that we get everything because it's already paid for, but we don't. They're only doing that because they get paid their gratuity off of your total bill even though you've prepaid.

Just eat what you're hungry for; and if you don't eat it all, no biggie.

My daughter-in-law and I are light eaters (my son is not) and we found it pretty easy to manage on the dining plan. We ordered salads as our appetizers most of the time at TS meals. If the CS entree came with french fries, we'd ask to replace the fries with one of the kid's meal sides (carrots, grapes, etc.) and everyone we asked was quite willing to do that. We also opted for fruit for dessert where available (and often it was). You can also use the snack credits at the fruit and vegetable carts in each park. Worked great for us!

We had this problem our 1st trip on the Dining plan..It's no fun touring WDW if you are so stuffed you can't move! :guilty: We would all try to order different entrees so we could "sample". We threw away a LOT of food! At 50's Prime Time the kids were so full they started "playing with ther food" to aggitate the "waitress Mom's".:lmao: We gave away most of our CS packaged desserts to passers by. But, I gotta say, the Dining is so much a part of the whole Disney Experience that I would never consider NOT having the dining plan (free or out of pocket)...Our Dec trip will be interesting for me, as I JUST lowered my cholesterol from 290 (I had mayonaise for blood!)...to below 200 (in 2 months even!).. I plan on posting a Cholesterol friendly food report after our trip!
