We are taking out first trip to WDW this spring. DH was adamant that we fly because he hates driving. When we got a deal on tickets ($391 total for a family of four), we jumped on it. Now I'm nervous because I've only flown once before and we will be relying solely on Disney transportation while we're down there.

Any tips that you can give me would be much appreciated!

Wow, under $100 a ticket, that's amazing. Which airline? Choice of airline has an affect on luggage check-in. If it's an airline that flies into Sanford, you can't use Disney Magical Express.

Remember if you are at Disney and feel need to have a car there are many options for renting even if its for a few days.

Alamo is onsite.
Avis is at the Hilton a short 5 minute walk from DTD.
Dollar is at the Wyndham across the street from DTD bus stop #1.

We usually get a car for 2-3 days it nice to be able to go off property especially to eat. THe money we save by eating off property pays for the rental car.

Go to tsa.org and carefully read the rules for carry-on and checked baggage. Go to your airline's website and read their rules for baggage, check-in, etc.

If you plan on using electronics during the flight (ereader, mp3 player, laptop, etc), know that for two periods during the flight, the electronic will need to be OFF...

* From when the boarding door closes until the plane reaches 10,000 feet
* From when the plane decends through 10,000 feet until you're off the runway.

Have other plans to entertain yourself during this time.

Thank you so much for your help! We are flying into MCO on Southwest.

You purchased four ROUNDTRIP tickets from Pennsylvania to Orlando for a total of just $391? Just $97.75 ROUNDTRIP each?

That just doesn't sound right in 2013. Did you buy the tickets directly for Southwest?

Double-check what you bought to make sure you actually have four tickets and you actually have roundtrips. If you didn't buy from Southwest, make sure this is not a scam.

Please let us know.
